What's everyone's favorite canceled shows? You know, they run it for a season or two or even less. You loved it but the ratings were falling?

Mine would have to be:

The Charmings (ABC 1987-88)
Pacific Palisades (FOX 1997)
Going Places (ABC 1990-91)

Sports Night

the fact that both of these shows were cancelled shows just how f*ckin stupid network television is.

Twin Peaks (1990) even though it was starting to get a tad weird, even for me.
EZ Streets (1996) CBS pulled the rug out from under this great show with the amazing Celtic soundtrack after a mere 8 episodes.

Danny in Yorktown, VA.

I used to like Viper. The original one that was on ABC (maybe NBC). When it came back into syndication with a slightly modified cast, it wasn't bad, but the original was better.

Freaks and Geeks for me as well. I was about the same age as the characters during the same exact time period when the show took place, and it was really nostalgic watching it because I had the same problems as they did. I always seemed to hang out with the geeks and was never part of the flow. I also had my share of parents, teachers or counselors that weren't very empathetic.

American Gothic (94 I think?) - This show was just great and had a huge cult following. CBS axed it because they considered it too 'dark' for their primetime line up. Lived on in sci-fi channel reruns for a while, but weren't that many episodes to keep it going.

Newsradio. But I really can't blame them too much after after Lovitz replaced Hartman.

And being a big Bruce Campbell fan, I would have to add Brisco County Jr. and the recently axed Jack of All Trades.

I also greatly enjoyed Nightmare Cafe for the short time it was on. Anybody else remember that one?

The Larry Sanders Show
(Don't really know if it was cancelled or if they gave up when ahead, like Seinfeld).

One show I particularly enjoyed that seems never to have been that big or well-known in the US (or Britain for that matter!) was The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd.

According to the site it lasted five seasons but these were rather short and 3-5 were made/shown by a cable channel.
