Maybe Gilfoyle is the new primary foil:

"Suck it, Jin-Yang."
"You attack and destroy my refrigerator? And you misspell my name?"
"I did. I had to overclock Anton but I was able to brute-force the backdoor password to that chrome piece of shit in under 12 hours. And I added a little visual flair."

I don't think I'll ever be able to eat Wheat Thins again. Thanks, Ed Donald Jared.

Man, good thing this show is funny, because whatever there is of a plot is just the same thing on a loop and doesn't seem to go anywhere.

It struck me yesterday as I watched this episode that despite the "new" of the references, it adheres to some pretty basic sitcom mechanics.

Good episode last night. Gilfoyle and Yang played off each other well.

The Limp Bizkit stuff was funny and Jared with the "wheat thin" comment .

It was poorly set up on Modern Family.

Seems like the main plot of this show is how many times Pied Piper and Hooli can fuck each other over.

For a second there, I thought, -hoped, -that they'd gone grim and killed off TJ Miller...

I thought that too, mostly because it would make sense of him not being on the show next season.

I don't think that decision was made until recently which would be well after filming ended.

The ending of this episode got a good laugh from me. Richard rattling off questions, everyone answering one at a time, until "why would I have that information?"

Exactly. Filming ended on this season probably 6 months ago. They just recently came to the decision that he wasn't coming back.

How do we know that? It was just announced, doesn't mean it wasn't decided long before that.

That was great then cut to the credits. What was also cool is that they did not use some cool rap song over the closing credits like they normally do -- probably because they has already used one earlier during the champagne showers.

I had to pause it after Jian Yang dropped Erlich off at the airport

It annoyed me when Richard couldn't admit the tab/space thing was petty. And then when he started obsessing about PeaceFare, I wanted to reach into my TV and slap the shit out of him.
I absolutely loved when Jared call him out on his shit. Richard's always been a petty child with a huge ego. He's the Donald Trump of the IT world (within the show).

Except Richard actually has something which justifies his ego.

Krazee-Eyez Killa to the rescue!

And with their actions, I will now root for Pied Piper to fail.

Hopefully TJ Miller's movie career is successful because his stand-up comedy is horrible. I watched his HBO special the other night and it was awkwardly not funny.

Agreed. I made it around 20 minutes or so before I turned it off.

agree - all their stuff up to this point, they've been sympathetic - big break followed by horrible luck. Rinse. Repeat.

but now they've actively gone out and hacked people's devices. not cool. I know that was kind of the point of the whole episode, but it kind of soured me on them (just a little).

I was going to post essentially the same thing.

I recorded his stand up special on HBO. Now, let me make this clear: My completist nature has caused me to sit all the way through some unfunny crap over the years, and something does not need to be haw-haw funny to be entertaining (I am a huge fan of Andy Kaufman). But I shut this off and deleted it after 15 minutes. It was awful.

Loved how Richard gave Dinesh a backpack with suicide switch, basically making him look like a suicide bomber.
