Doesn't seem like a spoiler since it's in the promo pic above.
I don't know what to think of this show. I liked the first season and the subject matter but I think it's style is very strange. It makes it really hard to watch week to week. I'm going to give it a shot and if I feel the same way, I'll just record and binge when the season is over.

I rarely pay attention to the photos. Nevermind. I will say that the "slow burn" approach (plus the reviews) kept me from sampling it during the network run. Does anyone know if Season One on Netflix is the edited version?

The Blu-rays are the uncensored international version with nudity.

I liked season 1, especially Duchovny and the guy playing Manson (Renly!). And the hot police woman. I'm in for season 2, but I think it would be good if they wrap it all up this season--including the trial.
Tangent: One of the actresses in Manson's harem (the pregnant one?) is, I believe, in a commercial for an adjustable bed/mattress. Both the husband and wife are snorers, and the song "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" plays in the background. Whenever that commercial comes on, I immediately think of Charles Manson. Probably not an association they were hoping for.

So, we get 3 episodes in 2 hours with no commercials?
According to this, they are not releasing all episodes online/Demand:

Re: Aquarius (NBC) -- Season 2 Thread -- premieres 6/16/16
That was two hours of mostly tedium. I was wondering why NBC was burning off three episodes in this manner with no commercials. It's not like the three episodes flow together particularly well as one cohesive piece. By the end I was begging for NBC to break up the monotony with a commercial.
While I enjoyed season one to some degree, there were certain things that I don't think worked. Those elements seem to have been brought back once again.
Even as a huge Dennis Wilson fan, there was very little I found captivating in this two hours. Duchovny is all too comfortable slipping back into Hank Moody when it suits him, his Californication character.
I thought the scenes addressing the fateful night with Sharon Tate were stylish pretension gone amok. Slapping a filter on a scene and calling it a day undercuts much of what should be this season's most powerful moments.

Yeah it's been on hiatus for a few weeks now. Was wondering when it was coming back (if it was coming back)
I have to believe that NBC has thrown in and towel on this show and is burning them off at this point. They still have 6 episodes to air. Dumping them on Saturday shows they don't care at this point even for a summer show.
On the plus side when this gets cancelled, it should free up Duchovny to work on another season of X-Files.

I don't see this show returning for a third season. I gave up on it about 5 episodes in this season. The hyper-stylized direction for the Tate murders and spreading them out through the season was a dreadful mistake.

You can delete your unwatched DVR recordings if you've been procrastinating all summer long
Now Duchovny is a free agent. Hope he pursues signing for another season of X-Files again.

I still have season 2 on the DVR. Did they ever get to the actual Manson murders? Any improvement over season 1?

Stopped watching during the long break of the Olympics. This season was pretty eh and after the Olympics, just didn't care. Kind of a shame too. Was the last episode even good? Kind of curious if I should find a way to finish it just because.

Season two was disappointing after a moderately decent first season. A Beach Boy did make an appearance as Charlie tries to break into the music industry.
Every episode of season two has flashes of the Sharon Tate Manson murders. Ridiculously overstyled, but included as quick teasers to maintain interest.
It wasn't enough for me, the show felt disjointed for several episodes in a row.
Season two is probably not worth wasting your time for casual fans. Duchovny diehards and Manson followers, possibly.

Hopefully this means more X-Files will be coming, as Anderson is also done with The Fall, but still involved with American Gods for Starz.

Just binged season 2 on Netflix. I enjoyed this season more than the first. Unfortunately, they set it up for a third season that will never happen.

They are edited for nudity on Netflix and I even noticed some spots where they edited out f-bombs. The violence is kept in tact, but no boobies or bush.

Damn! I was hoping the thread bump was news about the series being revived, somehow.
