The scene where Beth pauses and just responds with "Fuck You" was great. Also, the racism thing. Beth was killing it!

Re: Rick and Morty - Season 3

I'm loving these new episodes. I've seen some criticism of people who think these are "deep", but I think there's something there. Self-harm to avoid talking about your feelings? I think that's a real thing, and I love that we can have a show about wacky sci-fi hijinks but the characters have relatable issues.

Re: Rick and Morty - Season 3

I'm loving this season. It's about the consequences of Rick's actions throughout his life. There's so much of him in Beth, and the way it's affecting Morty and Summer is fascinating. This show operates with a lot of subtext and this season is bringing more of that to the surface to be explored. I can't help but wonder if Harmon's divorce played a factor into the tone of this season.

Probably, but Roiland is the bigger brains behind the show.

She referred to Morty and Summer as knobs. I found that amusing.

Is it me or does the show become more proportionately psychotically violent as their animation budget goes up.

FYI, newest episode is free on the official website. No cable provider login needed.

Unfortunately, I missed Rickmancing the Stone.

Re: Rick and Morty - Season 3

I'm still waiting for a random cameo by the Earl of Lemongrab. Strange there was no B story this week.

Started binge watching this show on Hulu

I don't really watch cartoons these days beside South Park but this is really fucking good

Ricks burping does annoy me though

Are you watching starting with season 1? I feel like they tone down the amount of burping in later seasons, or maybe I've just gotten used to it.

Re: Rick and Morty - Season 3

This show wasn't really on my radar but I have heard good things, so I decide to check this out. I am on ep 5 of season 1. Holy shit. This is like if South Park and Futurama had a kid and then gave it meth. It is fucking fantastic.

I am going to blast through both seasons in Hulu and then catch up with season 3 via on demand from DTV.

Re: Rick and Morty - Season 3

I started to watch the episodes on the Adult Swim app, but then realized they weren't all available. I made my first digital purchase and bought Seasons 1 and 2 from Amazon. Burned through them in a few days and have watched several episodes multiple times. I think my favorite is A Rickle In Time (Season 2 Episode 1).

Been keeping up with the new episodes, but need to watch this week's episode yet.

Re: Rick and Morty - Season 3

Yeah apparently it has really caught on this season, the most recent episode was the second highest watched cable show (same day) for the week in the demo behind only Game of Thrones.

I imagine word of mouth is really high, I know I certainly talked about it to all sorts of friends and coworkers.

Re: Rick and Morty - Season 3

Last episode had some great concepts, but didn't really stick the landing.

Still, a lot of great deconstruction going on.

The most recent episode - "Vindicators 3" - might have been my favorite of the series. Loved it.
