This show is such a mind fuck.
They do a spectacular job of using music in this show.

This truly is an x-men show by way of David Lynch. However, it'll be interesting how they approach the 2nd season of this with hopefully, Noah Hawley having as much input as he had in the 1st season. Loved the "Silent Movie" section of the episode and the "Chalkboard" section. Can't wait for the Finale!

I enjoyed the possible "Origin of Legion" presented in the episode, and appreciated that when David mimicked what he thought would be his father's voice, he used a Patrick Stewart impression.

Still not totally sure how much is real.
Will David let the Shadow King out to deal with the government agents?

No ... But that's why I'm loving it.
Just one episode left ... Damn.
Any significance to the flashlight Lenny was carrying? It said "HMS Ambush" on it ...

Probably has nothing to do with the sub, just a "joke" by the Shadow King that he just ambushed them. That's what I figure anyways.

They set up the finale nicely. And I really hope the finale delivers in a way where you can go back and look at the whole picture and say "that was fucking brilliant" instead of "what the fuck was all that?" I have confidence in Hawley. The show definitely is an experience. And you got to give credit to FX for putting something like this on air (and renewing it!) knowing the typical crowd that the X-Men IP could bring in.

A guy on youtube who reviewed the episode looked it up and apparently it belongs to a naval ship from a long time ago and possibly submarines from World War I or II I believe.

I was thinking that the plot seemed pretty thin and the visuals/audio kind of covered up that fact. To that point I think watching the whole series again is a good idea (which I will likely do at some point before Season 2) since now I have an idea of what's going on. At least the basics.
A Patrick Stewart cameo on the season finale would be pretty awesome.
Favorite character is Oliver Bird - loved when he sipped his martini while his hands were up.

I looked at the articles on the three ships named "Ambush" but nothing there really jumps out. The first was an American ship captured by the British in 1814. It was not originally called "Ambush" but the British renamed her that (without the HMS designation) and promptly sold her. The second was a submarine with no history of note. The third is an active submarine which collided with a merchant vessel in 2016.

Legion has been sublimely executed in season one. They've really made something that rises above the sea of disposable television.
I think it's going to end with a mind-blowing season finale.
