Grimm (NBC) -- Season 6 Thread (Final Season) -- Premieres 01/06/17

Totally forgot this was starting up again tonight... and I didn't see the thread, so here we go: The final 13 episodes of Grimm!

Season 6 description:
Now that the nefarious forces of Black Claw have been silenced, Nick (David Giuntoli) faces an all too familiar foe in Capt. Sean Renard (Sasha Roiz). Having gained a seat of power as the mayor-elect of Portland, Renard is poised to bring rise to his own brand of law and order. Nick must take a stand to protect his city and those closest to him, especially his child with Adalind (Claire Coffee). It will take the full force of Nick and his allies to find a way to bring peace.

Meanwhile, Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) and Rosalee (Bree Turner) grapple with bringing a child into a new and tumultuous world, and Eve (Bitsie Tulloch) faces unsettling identity issues as her former self lurks below the surface.
"Fugitive" (8/7c)
After the massacre in Nick's loft, Capt. Renard is determined to eliminate him once and for all; Monroe and Rosalee struggle over whether to stay in Portland; Eve suffers side effects from the stick's healing power.

As much as I enjoyed his episode overall, I do hate it when they stretch the police procedure reality THAT far. And then double down by making most of the force (everybody but our favorite characters and the villains) idiots.

Can we please get a name for it other than the "stick".

Liked the episode overall. I'll miss this show when it's gone, but really did feel like they were running out of stuff to do so I thought it was time for it to end and I'm always glad to see when they opt to end a show rather than keep it going until it gets canceled or just milking it endlessly.

Really like when it's planned. Six seasons is a good run.

Something felt off that episode. I don't remember the acting being so forced or cheesy like that before.

The Feb 10 episode had a good twist at the end. I feared the suspect would be the cliche "first person you met in the episode" like all other police procedurals, but good ending!

Both of the last two episodes had a resolution coming out of no where.

... and yeah, do something with the stick already.

Even though it was a "Valentine's Day / birthday" filler episode, it was a great one. Yes, Hank with the mirror was hilarious.

Just watched the Valentine's/ birthday episode. That was funnier than a lot of so-called sitcoms! Renard worried until it dawned on him that he didn't have anything to worry about was classic. Very "Ransom of Red Chief." I was laughing throughout the whole episode.

Nice to see Groot had a cameo in this ep.

It was a total yawner!

Let's advance the story a little bit more next week shall we.

Yeah, laughed at Groot, but not nearly as good as the past two weeks.

I liked this tree episode. I don't care for the mirror/skull story so I was fine with this episode.

So Vessen come from another world? Interesting...

It seems like the series is going to go out leaving more questions than we came in with...

I don't think our world's Wesson originate from the mirror world. The Russian lady talked about alternate realities. The mirror world is an alternate of our Earth. Although it seems like the past it's probably 2017 on that world too. Things just turned out different, probably because that Zestroyer, or whatever his name is running around. The Wesson rule instead of the humans, a flip version of our reality where humans rule and Wesson had to learn how to vogue(sp?)

As to finishing up the story. What I'm taking away is that the crusader Grimms were able to decipher the prophecy of the Zestroyer invading our reality to take a child bride and that is bad news for our world. The stick is required to fulfill the prophecy. They bury the stick and scatter the keys to protect the prophecy, not prevent it. Otherwise they wouldn't have left clues to it's location. It had to stay hidden until Nick specifically found it.

The entire series has been about the prophecy coming true. The show's character's are the individuals who were predicted to carry out the prophecy. Everything, from Nick's aunt showing up in the pilot, his meeting Monroe, etc. has played a part in the prophecy. Had the crusader Grimms written the prophecy down, it would have read like, "And lo, there shall come a Grimm. The Grimm shall befriend a Wesson. The Grimm will lie with a hexenbeast and begat a child" etc. etc. etc.

All that's left to wrap up over the last two episodes is for Nick to defeated the Zestroyer as the crusader Grimm's planned. Happily ever after. The End.

Only other thing is Rosalie's pregnancy. They could do a short fast forward at the end for that.

Whoa, the March 17th episode was a game changer for this show. I can't think of any way to get back.

And I like that they used prosthetics for the Devil, instead of all CGI.

Re: Grimm (NBC) -- Season 6 Thread (Final Season) -- Premieres 01/06/17

Last night's ep was solid... it's the beginning of the end for Nick and friends... one returned and two fell tonight.

Next week's series finale is aptly titled "The End."

It's kinda cool to see Will Traval (Will Simpson in Jessica Jones) as
Spoiler:
the human form of the Zerströrer.

Sure it's had a few dull spots, but this has been a great series that has survived six seasons. I'll be sad to see it end. It's been a good run.

Now, bring on the uptime fight between man and beast!

What a crazy penultimate episode!

All I could think of when the skull guy came through the gas station mirror: "Give me your clothes, your boots, and your motorcycle."

I give this show props for surviving as long as it did on Friday nights.

Hank and Wu are dead. What a bummer.

So are they going to remain dead or is the stick/staff going to come into play?

Oh and Juliette is human again- which will probably come into play somehow.

Nice way of finishing up a great run.

I can't see Hank and Wu staying dead, it would be a total bummer to see them not survive the series. The show has always been enjoyable, but they packed a lot into this season, and I'm curious to see how it all plays out.It could have gone for a couple more years and I would have been fine with it.
