Like most of reality tv it comes down to 1 thing...CASTING CASTING CASTING.

Like someone a few posts above mentioned Snooki is a Stepford wife now and the peak of her reality tv stardom was 4-5 years ago so it's not like she brings viewers. Just lazy job from the casting Director when their are endless reality shows to pool from. Mohammad Ali's daughter, nice lady but it's not like it's early to mid 2000's and their is a novelty to kid of a sports legend on one of these shows.

AHNOLD is not a particularly good host but then The Donald was never particularly the one that put eyeballs on the tube when this show was good it's first few seasons.

Re: The New Celebrity Apprentice (2017, Season 8, Schwarzenegger)

Watched the 2nd episode yesterday.

Still think the concept of a celebrity trying to win money for charity and being fired is dumb, but I found this episode a little more amusing.

Obviously the point isn't to watch a charity competition show. It's to potentially watch these personalities melt down under pressure.

Eric Dickerson being fired in hour 1 -- No surprise. He totally looked like he didn't want to be there.

Snooki volunteering to be fired in hour 2 -- I think that was the right thing to do. She was pretty clueless & knew it.

and damn, it's obvious why that Porsha Williams was cast. Just to create all that drama. And Kordell Stewart (former Steelers QB) was married to this woman? Her rant against Lisa Leslie was so annoying in the board room.

Arnold is such a dull host. He has very little involvement other than introducing the task and then relying on what his nephew and another adviser tells him what they saw.

That iJustine chick was cute though.

The women are getting their asses kicked and have only won one challenge.

I want a Apple Imac desktop that they use on the show and shown in other countless TV shows.

Jon Lovitz could not call Adam Sandler and ask for a donation?

Probably more Dana Carvey and Dennis Miller rather than Sandler.

I thought Ricky should have been fired. His failing to live up to his promises is why that team lost. Lovitz was an extra person. Blaming him was a cop out.

After this week's episode, there's got to be news of a Brooke Burke/David Charvet breakup soon. What an insecure douche.

It could be that John's insecure or embarrassed and just doesn't want to be calling "friends" and asking for money, -or at least not as a contestant on "The Celebrity Apprentice". Honestly, I couldn't do it, even for charity.

Considering the list of "celebs" and their "status", it's telling that the charity fund-raiser episode was moved to the middle of the season; in previous seasons they usually had two, one near the front and one near the back, which had some players hedging and saving their best sources of cash in case they needed them later. Of course, it seemed like previous teams had better friends and raised a lot more cash.

And consider that they know these friends of theirs are non-stop hit up for donations to any number of charitable causes. Who wants to be another part of that?

I wonder who are these people that willing to give up huge chunks of money with no questions attached.

I had no idea Warren Buffet owned See's Candies.

I got suckered into their advertising and now have the urge to eat some See's Candies.

Thought he was joking at first. Why would you not do that to help your wife win and raise money for charity? Trump was all over the place as host but he was usually good about not letting someone off the hook for dropping the ball. Brooke absolutely needed to go for that. Instead the milfy Kyle goes for no apparent reason.

Definitely tempted to try See's Candies.

Hopefully the "harass friends for money" portion of the show is over.

I've never heard of Chael Sonnen before this, what a moron. Did he really think cutting the cord would count as a technical difficulty? Unless he had already checked out and wanted to leave.

Sonnen was done. He won his money and checked out.

Arnold so far for me is a disaster on this show.

He should have fired BB when she gave in to her jerk husband.
Has Arnold been to any of the chalenges yet?

Didn't Trump show up to see what was going on?

I heard on the new that the network is already looking to replace him.

Same for Vince Neil. He won his $750K and could not care less after that.

Usually only at the final task. For the regular tasks it was Ivanka and whoever the other adviser was.

I know the show has always been manipulated and contrived, but this season it especially seems like that. They aren't even bothering to keep up the pretense of it being "real".

Arnold showed up during that fitness challenge unannounced.

It went according to plan and the guy who looked like the favorite
Spoiler:
Matt Iseman the American Ninja Warrior host won it

Surprised Boy George made it that far. It seemed he got lucky where he avoided the boardroom for most of the season.

Re: The New Celebrity Apprentice (2017, Season 8, Schwarzenegger)

They got the winner right but it should've been Carson in the final over Boy George. Season got better as it went along but the whole concept at this point is pretty nonsensical. Show has run its course but if they do another season, it should be some charismatic business tycoon and regular people.

Re: The New Celebrity Apprentice (2017, Season 8, Schwarzenegger)

Carson was a strong player for most of the year, but he did bungle his last two tasks and deserved to be fired when he was. I thought the finale teams were pretty inequitable, but I guess they thought they had to do that since George was such a niche player. The right person certainly won,

Re: The New Celebrity Apprentice (2017, Season 8, Schwarzenegger)

If you guys didn't know, they actually filmed two endings. One with Matt winning and one with Boy George winning. Matt said that he didn't know he was the winner until he watched it air on TV. So I wonder if Arnold (or whoever) actually didn't make the actual decision until recently. Also, if the ratings had been bigger, they might have had a live reveal for the winner like has been done in previous seasons.
