The show was on its last legs before the previous season, -or at least NBC thought so, -and that season took forever to get on the air and then they burned it off two episodes at a time in January. However, it actually did pretty well so we ended up with the long struggle to keep the franchise afloat.

Other than the boardroom segments, it's pretty much the same show it always was, for better or worse.

It just doesn't have that same 'train wreck' quality.

Its partly the fault of the casting of the contestant pool. There doesn't seem to be anyone there willing to bring the crazy like an Omarosa or Dennis Rodman has in the past. Therefore no cringe-inducting moments and therefore a boring snoozefest!

Whats the point of having Boy George and Vince Neil when they have already gone to rehab and are boring as hell! Even Snooki seems like a Stepford wife.

Nobody is watching this to see Arnold say 'you're terminated'. He comes off the worst on this, about as interesting as paint drying. He definitely works better when someone else is writing the words that come out of his mouth.

And I don't think the L.A. location works as well for this kind of show either. It just belongs in NYC where the city itself plays a character on the show too.

Man, I love Arnold, but that was an excruciating 2 hours to sit through.

I used to watch the old non-celebrity version of the show and liked it very much.

I just don't get the Celebrity version. I know these "stars" are playing for charity, but I just don't feel any drama even for a reality show. Everything feels so phony.

That Porsha chick was like nails on a chalkboard everytime she spoke.

Arnold feels so out of place here as host. And that line..."You're teminated, get to the chopper"

and then when he fired Carnie Wilson....You're terminated, hasta la vista baby. That was corny as shit.

Not sure if I can watch 12 more hours of this.

Problem with celebrity version is there are no stakes. Surely these celebs want to win but it doesn't change much for them whereas it's life changing for a regular person. Every episode feels the same with celebs. Also lost the unintentional humor of Donald plus the hotness of Ivanka which were the two main reasons to watch.

Arnold is predictably boring as shit. He's stiff and a bad actor so it just doesn't work.

And the whole reason the show was created.. to look for an apprentice. There's none of that going on with this show anymore. Boy George isn't going to take an executive job somewhere based on this show.

Arnold also tried way too hard to look like a bad ass and instead came off just looking like a bad actor.

We used to watch the Apprentice pretty regularly but this one will go on the dvr to be watched when there's really nothing else interesting on.

So I see one season for Arnold but maybe not for the show. Joe Pesci would work.. Those boardroom meetings could get really intense.

While I agree it was pretty rough, maybe he will get better as the season goes on. At least he had a pretty good exchange when he started mocking the one woman for being a crybaby (second boardroom).

Certainly no one watches this show to see how well D-listers can pimp sponsors products. We watch to see the D-listers snipe at each other during the tasks and more so to viciously turn on each other the moment the losers are revealed in the boardroom - usually right after all the "best team ever!" chants from each side. Trump was masterful at teasing that stuff out. Arnold, so far not so much to put it kindly. But again, maybe he will improve as the show plays out. It's January...what the hell else is on anyway.

Also, one could argue that this is season 15 of the show rather than season 1 for Arnold.
