Sounds like the Australian version of The Returned.

I kinda got a Lost S1 vibe, which was a good thing. I liked some of the twists thrown in. Can't wait for S2.

I enjoyed this although it sort of felt like half a season. I wouldn't think they can drag this show on for too long.

Sounds similar to the 2 series that were shown awhile back on ABC and USA(?). I think those two were adaptations.

I'm almost through the six episodes on Netflix, and I'm really enjoying this. Couldn't help but think that if this was an American series, it probably would have only been one episode long. An American cop would have opened fire on a bunch of people walking around a graveyard like that.

Yes, I believe the original source you're thinking of was the French TV show Les Revenants (The Returned), which is very similar.
Edit: I looked it up and the U.S. remake was on A&E and the original played on Sundance.

Just binged this over the weekend and really liked it.
I have also seen the A&E version of The Returned (filmed in Canada), as well as the US show Resurrection.
I enjoyed The Returned and was disappointed it didn't get another season to answer some of the mysteries. They were setting up something sinister behind the returns, but didn't get to further explain it. Resurrection had some interesting ideas, but also got kind of stupid and I wasn't that sorry to see it cancelled.
Glitch is set on a pretty small scale, and that works well for the story. The dilemma of the policeman regarding his current wife and 'late' wife was interesting. I guess the supposition now is that Sarah may no longer be herself. They left things with a good setup for season 2--with Sarah and also the news about the doctor.
