After Q4 brainee is still ahead, but a well-played slam moves The Cow into a close second.

Re: Sheep will control the horizontal: A Sci-Fi TV Sheep Game

I'm usually more on the ball than to give an answer without specifying the version. Looks like that paid off this time though

This game is a complete wildcard for me. The reverses were pretty easy, but I figure they're easy for everyone. I felt pretty clueless about most of the "sheepy" answers (though I could give honest answers for everything). My slam play was pretty random. Would not at all be surprised if I bootsy at least one of them.

Probably the highest I've ever been after 4 questions in a sheep game.

Ready to climb down the ladder back to reality.

Well fuck me. I was thinking of Tapestry buy forgot the episode title, and the slam was a total fuck-up because I meant to do BG on #1. I probably should not have sent my answers in after drinking all that cough medicine. Now I am fucking ashamed to even see how this fiasco plays out.

Re: Sheep will control the horizontal: A Sci-Fi TV Sheep Game

What movie is Battlestar Galactica and Caprica supposed to be based on?

Same thing with Buck Rogers, but not as much?

The pilots were theatrically released (though I remember them being on network tv too). I'm pretty sure they still fit under the wording of the question as being correct answers.

The movie-length pilot for a TV series is not a movie that the series is based on.

Basing a TV series on a movie means looking at an existing cinematic property and saying, "I think that premise could be developed as a TV series."

Originally made as a television movie pilot, Universal Studios opted to release the film to theaters several months before the subsequent television series aired.

Oh for fuck's sake!!

Buck Rogers is a fictional space opera character created by Philip Francis Nowlan in the novella, Armageddon 2419 A.D., and subsequently appearing in multiple media. In Armageddon 2419 A.D., published in the August 1928 issue of the pulp magazine, Amazing Stories, the character's given name was "Anthony".[1] A sequel, The Airlords of Han, was published in the March 1929 issue.

Philip Nowlan and the syndicate John F. Dille Company, later known as the National Newspaper Syndicate, were contracted to adapt the story into a comic strip. After Nowlan and Dille enlisted editorial cartoonist Dick Calkins as the illustrator, Nowlan adapted the first episode from Armageddon 2419, A.D. and changed the hero's name from "Anthony" to "Buck". The strip made its first newspaper appearance on January 7, 1929.

That could have been used to hilarious effect in the most recent movie.

That's why I counted Galactica and Buck Rogers as correct. I'm not so sure about Caprica; I haven't found any sign of a theatrical release. Maybe I'll change the score on that one.

The Buck Rogers TV series is not based on a movie. The answer is incorrect.

Did Abob Teff specify which version of Battlestar Galactica in his answer?
