Why So Blu?

Just finished up the second episode. What a fucked up ending to that one. I get a "Exorcism of Emily Rose" vibe to it in terms of story (The Legion) and the visual palette.

I too am really enjoying this - surprisingly so. Good casting and they're doing a good job creating an eerie atmosphere. Hopefully this gets picked up for enough episodes to at least go through mid-season. Will be surprised if this gets a full season pickup.

Has Fox ever kept a show, based on a 'following' instead of 'ratings'? NBC gave us Hannibal for two more seasons than they needed to.

I'll enjoy watching this season. But I won't expect it to return.

I never picked up Fringe. Is it worth watching the whole series?

Yes, great series. Had a great 5 season run. Unfortunately it's no longer available for streaming. Netflix and Amazon dropped it after the license expired. Could return in the future, but who knows when.

Dollhouse, the Sarah Conner Chronicles and to a lesser extant Fringe come to mind.

2nd episode was awesome. The vomit/giant centipede scene made me squirm.

That was pretty clever of Angela to put the holy water in her daughter's water.

Also, that massacre at the end with the organs being stolen was quite gory for network TV.

Looks like this Friday Father Marcus is getting down and dirty.

Such a bad idea to be this type of series on a very low watched night like Friday. FOX gets very low live ratings on Fridays no matter what kind of show they put there. It's going to be a heavily DVR'd/streamed show for those giving it a chance. It's too bad that FOX only programs 2 hours a night. This would have been a perfect 10pm show on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Watched the first 3 episodes and am liking it

Characters are good, there seem to be several facets to the story

Some really creepy but not overdone horror elements

Episode 4 was great. I chuckled when it looked like Father Marcus would be involved in a pit fight with a demon and surrounded by nuns. It went much deeper than that and the results were quite great.

Next week: Round 1!

Out of all of the tv/movie reboot tv series debuting this year, this is by far the best.

I love how they have extended the players in the battlefield

I was a little ambivalent about the show when I felt (after the end of the second episode) that it was going in the direction of "The Following", and did I want to follow another doomed series. However, I've enjoyed the last two episodes and will continue with the show.
I haven't seen any recent ratings for the show (which in itself probably isn't a good sign), -Is it doing any better?

Nope, I'm sure the Friday death slot isnt helping it either. This is currently my favrite new show of the season. They have set the stage excellently while also building the tension.

Maybe they're guaranteed 1 full season and it's not open ended? This is it. Didn't Scream Queens not do that well last season and yet still got renewed for a new one based on word of mouth and its cult following? I'm hoping the studio lets it get to episode 10.

Wow, that was astonishingly well played. For 5 weeks I've been viewing this as a remake. This turns the whole premise on it's ear & makes me want to go back & re-watch from the beginning. Sucks that we have to wait 2 weeks now due to the world series.
