at Thea being trapped "Under the Dome"
Glad John finally put down his piece of shit brother.
So Dahrk's end game is to start a nuclear apocalypse, end the world and then re-build. Didn't Heroes: Reborn do something very similar?

Was the shaman from the DC universe?
Also, really tired of the writer's writing stupid character actions - Diggle chasing Andy - argh.

They went to a very dark place in Diggle's side story with his brother. It's so rare to see a completely psychotic character that isn't the main villain. His brother was asking for it continuing to provoke Diggle, so I can't really fault the decision. I wonder if it foreshadows Oliver killing Darhk to save the city?
Anyone else notice there wasn't a single flashback this episode? It might be the first Arrow episode in history without a flashback.

Maybe not a full flashback scene, but they did show a glimpse of the flashback story line with that woman having her eyes turn yellow as well like Ollie's did through this episode.

So now they went all 'The Hive' on us. If Red Queen shows up in any way I'll giggle.
Darhk wants to launch nukes creating 'Racoon City'. Where have I seen this before .....

Best part of the episode was the headshot of the baby in the rucksack on the bike.
So who was that shaman lady? Don't know of any immortals like that in the DCU.

They should've used Madame Xanadu or Zatanna rather than that no-name woman (seriously, I didn't even hear what her name was, had to look it up on AV Club)

She was a rather convenient deus ex machina. It's like the producers realized Oliver needed some extra mojo for his final confrontation with Darhk at the last minute and threw her on the show. I wonder if they had planned on Constantine coming back this episode and lost the actor to another commitment.

Loved how Diggle was shooting at his brother for most of the episode to save his own life, and/or his whole family, but then hesitates when he finally has him lied up for a clear shot. 'cause... Arrow.
Given the multiple Constantine name drops it seems clear they wanted to bring him back, but didn't for whatever reason. Too bad. Bringing him back as a semi-regular could be the boost this show needs. Totally seems to be on the worst kind of cruise control.

Obviously anything could happen and this could change... but Constantine was only a one time thing.
Guggenheim clarified that Constantine's appearance was always meant to be a one-time thing: "When we were given the character, we were given the character with the understanding and the agreement that this is a one-off."
Ryan explained to TV Insider that in order for him to don the trench coat for Arrow this season, there had to be some shifting around in order to accommodate a play he was performing in. As Ryan put it:
They moved heaven and Earth to get me here. I was starting rehearsals for a play [Thérèse Raquin] with Keira Knightley in New York on the first of September. And originally, where the episode sat in the season, I wouldn’t have been able to do it because of my schedule. But everybody just pulled together and moved some things around and really made it work.
Although Constantine’s Arrow episode is the fifth episode of Season 4 (airing on Wednesday, Nov. 4), it’s the fourth episode in the production cycle, so presumably that’s the adjustment the show’s crew made to secure Ryan’s participation.

Did the show get a new showrunner this year or something? The quality just fell through the floor.

The Flash was the worst thing to happen to Arrow. It forced the show to give up its grounding in sudo reality. I liked Vixen and Constantine but it has lead the story here. Plus I never like it when the master plan involves mass extinction unless there are robots or machines.

1st half of this season had the crossover and the Constantine ep which were great, 2nd half has been garbage.
