The Detour (TBS) -- Series Thread -- S: Natalie Zea, Jason Jones
TBS, a division of Turner, is getting ready to hit the road again with the Parker family and all their obvious dysfunction. The network has ordered a 13-episode second season of the series several days before the show's official launch. Created, written and executive-produced by Jason Jones and Samantha Bee, The Detour is an often too honest look at the family dynamic and the chaos that can erupt from not being honest with the ones we love. Starring Jones, Natalie Zea, Ashley Gerasimovich and Liam Carroll, the series is set to debut on TBS Monday, April 11, at 9/8c. "I'm very excited to be going back to making my favorite show not yet on TV and look forward to making outrageous demands in my rider for the second season," said Jones. "Jason and Sam's vision and execution of the first season was original and unexpected at every ridiculous turn," said Brett Weitz, executive vice president of original programming for TBS. "Having Jason as Executive Producer, Director and Star really brought a definition to the voice of the characters and a realism to this family."

I would eat a mile of Natalie Zea's shit just to see where it came out of.

Would you do that in reality or are you just trying to say that you find her really attractive? I don't get it whenever I see a guy making a gross out proclamation like this about a female. Do women say stuff like this about guys? That being said, she is hot and will be the reason for me to give this show a shot.

saw the first ep. it was like the Vacation reboot. crass and really not funny. there is zero chemistry between Zea and Jones. it was a waste and i was looking forward to this one. will give the 2nd ep a chance, but not sure about this one...

I only watched the first episode so far, but I'm not feeling it. Jason Jones and Natalie Zea had zero chemistry together. It seems like yet another "dorky husband with hot wife" sitcom trope. Maybe she is just miscast here. It seems like the show would be much better with Samantha Bee as the wife.
I'll watch the second episode before making up my mind but I was disappointed.

It was funny but I think they tried too hard as well. It's like they were taking Modern Family to a whole new level.
We have Sunny in Philly for that level already.

Maybe looking at Natalie Zea just puts me in a good mood, but I found this pretty funny. I laughed out loud multiple times.

I laughed at both episodes more than I've laughed at any show since... shit, I can't even remember.

3rd episode doesn't disappoint. This is spectacular. The kid who plays the daughter is really good.

Episodes 1 and 2 had me rolling.
I didn't find Episode 3 funny at all.
Thankfully this latest episode completely redeemed itself. Fucking hilarious.

I've been pretty "meh" about this show - it felt like the recent Vacation remake, but slightly better... which still isn't saying much. But all the scenes at Conquistadors were some of the funniest TV I've seen in a while. And yeah, the daughter's a good foil to the parents.

OMG, I just started watching this off the DVR. Fucking hilarious.
I was when the parents were explaining sex to their kids in episode 2. Surprised at how crude this is.
It does remind me a little of the Vacation update.

What a fantastic bed and breakfast. Hot Russian, the "panic" room, the "bear" fight.
"I have a great product." God damn right you do.

Natalie Zea in the sexy slip
at the bear fight.
And who the fuck takes a dump while brushing their teeth at the same time and spitting in the bowl? That was just gross.
The hot Russian chick was nice to look at, but damn that was a pretty terrible fake accent

This show is phenomenal. The different versions of their relationship was amazing.
