The Walking Dead (S6E10) -- "The Next World" -- 2/21/16

A seemingly simple scavenging run proves to be very tricky when our group isn't the only one vying for an unexpected supply goldmine.

Seems like that Rick and Michonne has been a long time coming.

I see the writers finally gave in to the shippers, or does that happen in the comics?

I was starting to think these characters are sexless. So Rick & Michonne are sitting on the couch. Michonne shows Rick the baby cam & says "she's practicing in her sleep". Practicing what??

In the comics he hooks up with a now dead character, namely Andrea.

Could Rick and Darryl have been any stupider in this episode? Seriously.

Ah well. It was only a fairly large truck, completely full, of useful supplies. No biggie.

It's like Rick and Daryl became rookies again. Instead of going on a run in the most subtle way possible, they were loud as fuck and just doing stuff that idiots usually do to bring attention. Seriously, is like the writers regressed them to the first season.

Seriously. Truck full of supplies... fucking B-line it back to Alexandria... no stops. Apparently the truck didn't need gas since Jesus didn't stop to fill it. Pointless stop to look for sodas. Hijacked because of said stop, track it down, take it back... B-line it back to Alexandria? Nope. Look, a farm! Oh wait, dude somehow managed to climb on the truck while tied up. Send the dude flying off the roof and take off. B-line it back to Alexandria? Why bother? Let's hop out and chase around this idiot and tally up some more zombie kills.

Agree. Fun episode overall, actually liked the casting for Jesus and his introduction. Liked the Spencer B-story, too. But jeez, some inexplicable behavior from the 2 "head honchos" of the group.

Man, it would be horrible to be watching TWD in the same room as Yvette Nicole Brown.

It was almost embarrassing to watch Daryl chase around Jesus after he flew off the truck...it looked like they were playing tag.

...and I'm still wondering what Michonne meant when she said the baby was 'practicing in her sleep' after she showed Rick the baby cam.

I assumed crawling. Looked like the kid was up on her knees. They haven't shown Judith as being mobile yet, right?

That's what I said to my wife. A load that useful, for one thing you would think, Hmm... Somebody probably loaded it and might be around. Get it home, now.

And Jesus getting on the roof? My wife guessed he was on the truck, right away. I dismissed it since he was tied up by the road and I assumed someone must have looked in the mirror as they were driving away?

This episode of The Walking Dead was brought to you by Orange Crush soda.

Yeah Rick and Daryl seriously bungled transporting those supplies. This episode made them look like idiots.

Not really surprised that Rick and Michonne hooked up. He's been backed up for how long? Since Lori died?

Looks like they are upping their profanity level (in advance of Negan). I noticed more shits and assholes than it normally seemed.

Agreed that Rick and Daryl were especially stupid (even if it had been a few weeks since the fall and rebirth of Alexandria)

Jesus seems like a really cool character ... I look forward to more of him.

Also - did the baby say Michonne? sounded like it to me

It seems everybody has become lax and careless, not just Rick and Daryl. They seem to have fallen into a sense of calm security.

Cut them some slack. They finally have a safe place to live. It's not like there's a massive, well-organized and well-armed gang of raiders beyond the gates of Alexandria.

Not a bad episode or anything. Yet, they were FAR too careless.

I think it is complacency. They just survived a massive assault and now they are letting their guard down. I can see this happening.

Not sure why they didn't take the car and the truck in case it breaks down? Yea it is complacency and I don't have a problem with them showing that either it happens to everyone but lets complain about the writing...

This one was a lot of fun.

OK episode, but I expected Yakkity Sax to be playing whenever Rick and Daryl were on-screen together in this one.
