Domino's is the first fast food place I recall doing a national wing push, and they really seemed to explode in popularity not long after that.

Initially, I didn't like the Kardashian kid scene either. I was thinking, this is annoying and a pointless scene.

And then I immediately thought about the current Kardashian shows on E! and yes, they are annoying and pointless.

It ended being the perfect scene haha

Murphy may be trying to point out that the OJ situation was the early stage of a certain kind of celebrity-driven reality TV culture and The Kardashians now represent its current zenith.

Well, yeah. Kato was the exact first famous for being famous sort of E! type of shit possible. Even prior to that, Angelica billboards were just held as billboards and didn't cross over to tv

While I enjoyed the episode, the chase scenes threw me off because it was a lot of 710 footage over and over again, they used the same 2 mile strip of freeway for all of it and it just, living near it, was so glaring.

Did episode 2 end with OJ being taken away and that's that? Or was there more? This episode is shorter than the first.

Episode 2 did a really good job re-creating the White Ford Bronco chase. I was glad they incorporated real news footage from the time like using Dan Rather, Tom Brokaw and Bob Costas.

Considering how insane LA freeways are, I was surprised they were able to close off a freeway to film that sequence.

at the Kardashian kids chanting when they saw their Dad on TV.

Travolta is just terrible as Bob Shapiro. Just really cheesy & cartoonish performance.

If this is Travolta's audition for Lifetime, he's doing a great job.

It was mentioned elsewhere that Brokaw was pranked on-air by a Howard Stern listener who claimed to be watching the Bronco when it was parked at the estate. He ended the conversation wishing "A Ba-Ba-Booey to you all!"
I remember them playing the segment on Stern's morning show with the prankster.

It was Peter Jennings pranked and Al Michaels had to explain to him that it was a prank caller.

Fortunately I watching ABC live and got to watch that phony phone call live. So awesome.

Not much cochran or clark in this ep, and thats why it was weaker imho, vance and paulson are the best thing about this series so far..
Travolta is awful, schwimmer is actually pretty solid..

Bruce Greenwood knocked one out of the park in this episode.

Is the second episode shorter than the first? I wasn't sure. My recording didn't have the credits. It ended when OJ was put in the back of the police car.

I just need to know. This is terrific stuff.

That's when the episode ended. It was a normal 60 minute episode.

I guess the Kardashian kids' scene annoyed me, but it was probably meant to. All I could think about was how the father was in the middle of experiencing a personal hell, but his kids are only concerned and excited about their last name being said on television. Most kids are assholes though, so I guess I can't blame them for not understanding the severity of the situation.

One thing I'm wondering about. AC's Bronco was first spotted near Irvine Center Drive, which is well into southern Orange County and FAR from Brentwood. What was OJ doing down there?

And Cuba's performance is atrocious.

Episode 3 airs tonight

The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story

Episode Descriptions

Chapter 3 / Production #103 - "The Dream Team" (Airs February 16, 10:00 pm e/p) - Marcia Clark (Sarah Paulson) announces that O.J. Simpson (Cuba Gooding Jr.) has been charged. Robert Shapiro (John Travolta) seeks advice from F. Lee Bailey (Nathan Lane) and comes up with a provocative strategy. As Shapiro starts putting together "The Dream Team", he must convince O.J. to hire Johnnie Cochran (Courtney B. Vance). Written by D.V. DeVincentis; directed by Anthony Hemingway.

Only 1 hour. Really surprised they aren't doing extended episodes like most FX shows.

Nicole was buried in Lake Forest, pretty close to Irvine. As seen in the episode, OJ was at the cemetery. The Brown family lived in OC, if you're wondering why Nicole was buried there.

Does this show up during the scheduled airtime on FXNow, or at some random later hour?

I saw them on FX Now (with ads for the show itself appearing during breaks). I plan on watching live tonight.
