Had to watch this in demand - I didn't expect good past game presentation to eat into the broadcast.
Anyway, I agree it wasn't bad. I expected it to be terrible based on the reviews. I saw some episodes here and there during original run, but not a lot. My observations, which many of you have said.
- felt like a 90s show picked up and aired in modern times
- a lot of the acting felt wodden
- not sure characters felt like themselves
I agree it could have been longer. Plus I think episode could have followed Mulder uncovering some of this and then needing to find Scully and convince her to help him again. Would have been a better character arc and aid in delivering some of the exposition.

The dialogue established that Mulder has had doubts since 2006 when he met the Army Doctor, which explains why he wasn't particularly concerned about the 2012 invasion in "I Want to Believe" (2008). The fact that December 22, 2012 came and went and nothing happened would just have reinforced that view.
