I finally decided to pull the plug on this show last week. After I deleted it, I realized there were only a few episodes left and I probably should have just finished it out. But, eh. I found myself not really caring about how any of these storylines resolve.

But this is the final episode... before the finale.

I gave up at the winter break on Heroes. Like the latter seasons of the original run, there were a few enjoyable things and a whole mess of stuff that should have never made it to air.

I figured I'd watch it through to the end.

I have decided to give into my aggressive feelings and let the hatewatch flow through me.

I'm saving these on my DVR, and I'll do a hatewatch binge in the next month or so.

At some point, I started thinking the show will end with
Spoiler:
Tommy teleporting the whole earth momentarily out of the path of the solar flare, then teleporting it back

I can't say I even really understand his sister's power. I may have missed where they explained it.

Haven't seen this episode, but wouldn't that destroy all life on Earth anyway? Oh wait, this is Heroes, it would probably just give him a nosebleed or something.

I'd say it shit on / destroyed pretty much any of the original cast that was even so much as just mentioned on it much less made an appearance.

Whatever happened to the Petrelli brothers?

Re: Heroes: Reborn (S5E12) -- "Company Woman" -- 1/14/16

I dunno, I still liked Hiro (unless he came back in this episode and did something dumb).

Suresh died as big a patsy as he ever was.

I was kinda upset about Parkman until someone reminded me how he was a crappy guy in that alternate future from the original series, so I guess it makes some sense. Not that the writers did it on purpose or anything, though.

One Petrelli brother is dead, right? The other, who knows? What happened to Sylar, did he die in the latter half of season 4 or something (which I never bothered finishing?)

Re: Heroes: Reborn (S5E12) -- "Company Woman" -- 1/14/16

Ok, finally watched this episode. Only one more to go!

Lucha Libre and crew exited as quickly as they entered that scene, which seemed exceedingly dumb. It's like they set up this situation where multiple parties would get together, finally, in one place, and that's the payoff? Usually you have this "ah hah" moment where each party plays a crucial part in the plot, but no, not here.

I swear they could have reduced this to like 6 episodes and the plot could've stayed in place.

Still debating whether to watch the episodes remaining after the break. They are still sitting on the tivo, but since this isn't getting a second season, I may just delete them. Or save them until I am real desperate to watch something and there is absolutely nothing else on.

Heroes' compartmentalized writing style makes skipping selected scenes much easier than more involved storytelling found on other shows.

I usually don't give up on shows but this one is stacking up in my Hulu queue. I just couldn't get into it. Then I heard it got canned so I'm not even bothering to catch up...

That cracked me up. It looked like they rushed in just so she could get shot, and then they rushed out again. "Hang on, pull into this school for a minute. I need to pick up some bullets. With my chest."

At this point, I am watching Heroes Reborn to make Tim Kring look like a dick.

Technically it didn't get canned. The show was intended to be a one-off mini-series. Just that depending on how well it went they had the possibility of more. It wasn't like they went into this with any real plans for more after this.

Because it only has an episode left.

I really liked Heroes yet anyone they brought back either died, sold out or was never seen while most of the new ones are so-so. Something is not quite right. And at one time this was the only real way to see a show with powers. Yet now it cannot even compare to everything else that is out.

What the hell did happen to Peter? Maybe he's off searching failed futures to find that girl he left behind that got lost from existence.

... until 2019 when we've forgotten about this rotten chapter and Kring convinces NBC to let him do another one.

Amen. In it's day this was very good (the first few seasons anyway). But with what Marvel and DC are doing... and a few others (I'm looking at you "Alphas"), this is just crap now.
