Didn't it take a few seasons for hookups between the roommates to start? At least full on sex. I remember it being a big thing when it actually happened for the first time. I can't remember what season though.

I think season 8, the Hawaii season, was where they started getting wild... that one chick with drinking problem would walk around the house naked, but I think it was a couple of seasons later when the RW house started turning into a big orgy. Vegas, maybe?

Ah ok, I never watched the old seasons so I thought hookups were common. And I mean hookups with the locals as well, not just amongst roommates. Just one time is season.

This pretty much sums it up.

Awful cast. Awful season. Essentially a microcosm of where we're at as a society.

Oh yeah, and I had to go to the urban dictionary to look up what "ratchet" means. I had no idea and thought it was a socket wrench.

Is this a common term? Never heard it said by anyone or even in a movie.

I've heard it used before (I'm from California, not sure if it's a regional thing). However, I never knew it was racially specific. I just thought it meant a low class, nasty woman, not necesssarily tied to any specific race. I guess I was incorrect.

I'll trust your take on the word over the rantings of an insane person who is solidly a part of the Outrage-Industrial Complex.

Ratchet basically means black. Like ghetto basically means black. But it doesn't exclude. A white guy can act like a "******". That makes him a whigger.

On The Challenge last night, I heard Johnny Bananas say something like "this is the most ratchet elimination", yet no one called him out as being racist. What's up with that?

No wonder the movie "Ratchet and Clank" bombed.

Re: The Real World: Go Big or Go Home (MTV) -- Premieres 3/17/16

I just finished watching this season today so I can start the new season. I agree that it's probably the worst season ever with the weirdest looking cast ever. The whole cast was PC bros except for Jenna. I was shocked by how brutal Ceejai was when she jumped Jenna. Jenna had just shoved her before that. That was straight up jumping someone and punching them in the face and then she was congratulated by the rest of the cast for it. Wow.... I hope Bad Blood is better.....
