Is what I have a bachelor's degree in, not that i'm using it.
But really, one can easily say that's the reason why it will last much longer then the 2 years you claim. If any of the main characters want out, it's much easier to kill them off and continue a rotating cast then just end the show.

I think the key is that the show called The Walking Dead that is still airing in 4 years doesn't look much like the one on now when it comes to the cast. The could easily cut the cast down, or even replace any star that wants off or wants too much money.

Do you guys think pepper spray would be in any way effective against the walkers? Assuming it affects their eyes the same as a normal person's and could stop one from attacking and allow someone to escape or kill them more easily. Couldn't they start carrying it around if they can find some? It might be good for the younger kids to carry around instead of guns. Hell, it would be good against the Wolves, at least.

Psh, like Economics requires learning the difference between then/than! At least I think that's the issue you're trying to be a smart ass about

Glenn's survival was some bullshit, for sure. I mean, it's pretty much what I expected (assuming he was alive, even though I really wanted the writers to smarten the fuck up and do something more compelling this season), but it was absolutely ridiculous. If it were any other character, they'd be zombie food, but it's Glenn so he magically pulls himself under a dumpster while dozens (dozens!) of walkers on all sides pull at him but, oh, he killed two or three on one side so suddenly all the other walkers just give up?
I'm not even mad about it (you might think otherwise from my tone above). It's just stupid, and lazy, and shows that they're comfortable and don't want to take any real risks anymore. It reduces the weight of the show at this point. Hell, even if Glenn dies in the next episode, it'll matter so much LESS because of this silly escape.

The so-called "anger" is with the amateurish and lazy storytelling. It took a whole five minutes to show why this was a terrible idea: When Enid pulled a gun on Glenn there was ZERO tension in the scene - even though it was edited as a cliff-hanging-cut-to-commercial moment.
So Glenn is now invulnerable (even more so than he already was), and that runs completely counter to what helped separate this show from typical cookie cutter TV pabulum for the masses when it started. So now we can expect the show to "pull a Glenn" any time they need to phony up some drama.
It was an original and gutsy choice to kill of a beloved character in a small and futile way. But nope, instead of that we got a laughably bad trope served up.

Read some spoilers for the mid-season finale...

Even if he hadn't just survived the zombie attack, there is not a single viewer watching this show who believed Enid was actually going to shoot Glenn.

How long was glen supposed to be under the dumpster? I thought it was at least a day or two. If he killed the few zombies that were right next to the bottom trying to get him, that would have created a buffer and masked his smell. I would think it wouldn't take that long for the hoard to get distracted by something else if they couldn't smell him any more (masked by the garbage smell and the other dead zombies blocking access to glen).

I could see Morgan getting it in the finale. Some fans really like him and he's a very expensive actor, a perfect target for AMC.

Go to the "The Spoiling Dead Fans" page on facebook.
Looks like they've posted a full synopsis of the episode, though I haven't read it yet. (I will after I finish reading DVDTalk, though.)
ETA: You might want to be really careful, though. Some of the stuff might be from the first episode of the second half of the season, depending on where they split the storyline. Comic readers will probably have a pretty good idea of what's going to happen with the walker herd, though.

I'm surprised no one had mentioned that creepy kid that's afraid to come down the stairs. I forget what Carol said to him exactly, but it was pretty bad considering he is completely fkd up in the head...like enough to put him over the edge. I can see this kid doing something very stupid in the next episode.
...and btw. I'm not at all complaining about Glenn being alive, but i re-watched the scene 3 or 4 times & there is no way Glenn would've landed under Nicholas like he did after seeing the way they both fell. His head should have been AWAY from the dumpster with his feet closest to it, not the other way around.

Sophia is in the tower that fell. Beth was in the tower the whole time.
Glenn survived the dumpster incident, just to be crushed by the falling tower.
Maggie's baby is black, not Asian.
Michonne was never real; she was a figment of Rick's imagination.
Merle returns.
Carol shows Morgan "the flowers."
Olivia finds another medical book and starts Eugene's gender reassignment surgery.
And the most shocking ... Daryl joins Aaron and his lover for a spaghetti-covered three-way.
