The previews have seemed interesting and I liked the movie. But it just seems we've had a ton of "really smart guys" helping out the police type shows. Chuck from a few years ago, Scorpion, Intelligence, Mentalist, etc., even Castle has his writers angle. The big thing that's held me back is the feeling it's just another one of those with a different cast. Chuck I loved and was sorry to see go, Scorpion I watch but the writing is cheesy, Intelligence I liked but needed some charm from someone, apparently I wasn't the only one who felt that way. Mentalist never really got into.

Any other major kudos for this one?

I never saw The Mentalist, so we get to enjoy Limitless on its own. That being said, we really enjoyed this week's episode.

It took about a season before the cases got boring and stupid on Elementary. What I worry is that the cases are already microwavable, procedural nonsense in this first batch of episodes. They also aren't putting many limits on NZT's abilities. He learns perfect fighting technique in one night?

Well, Bradley Cooper learned them instantly in the movie.

I like this show, it could go either way. The last crime of the week was particularly weak, but the "mythology" elements are pretty interesting as is the allusion to a bad/good dicotomy occurring under NZT. Will be interesting to see where it goes. Glad it got a full season.

Since this is something taken as a pill, plot can progress to reduced effect, side effects, etc; as time goes on. They'll gauge how it's going after the initial order (13 eps I think?) and correct course if necessary.

This is a really fun cotton candy show. It's turned into the first thing I watch on my DVR when I have time to watch TV.

Yes. I knew he was in it before seeing the episode thanks to MMA web sites, so it wasn't a surprise for me, but when I first read the news, I was a bit surprised. I thought he did a decent job.

I thought the last episode was fun, but I did roll my eyes a bit over the contrivance of the boss, who works for the FBI, giving millions to a known shady terrorist associate because her niece was kidnapped.

The Top 10 episode was flat out great. And the Bruntouchables sequels at the end had both my wife and I rolling in hysterics. This show. Just terrific.
