Well, the thing about this show is that it's seldom is predictable. I think they're simply presenting a problem right now and I'm interested to see how they approach this very real problem in relationships.

I did like Lindsay's little bit cutting a song. I mostly agree that having one of the four main characters on a comedy become depressed for half the season was a very curious creative decision. I guess this is a roundabout way of breaking Jimmy and Gretchen up.

i think Lindsay gets Gretchen's job, jimmy kicks her out saying it isn't working, she ends up moving in with Lindsay and the season ends with her crying in her car in the driveway.

Not really enjoying the depression storyline despite how accurate it really is in its depiction. Maybe the attention it's getting will save it from cancellation though.

Yeah, as horrible as Jimmy may be (the show IS called You're the Worst), it's a little unbelievable to me how completely oblivious he is to clinical depression, and how he thinks it's all about him. Especially in this day an age. These days, anyone in a relationship like that would do a lot of online research as to how to better deal with someone like that, especially an intellectual curious person like Jimmy.

Ugh...after the greatness of season one I have to tap out on this season. The depression thing is just not working for me. I hope Aya lands somewhere good cause she deserves it.

You'll be surprised. Most folks do believe they can "Fix it" with someone who is depressed by trying to make them smile or cheer them up. It's sort of, like, human nature, you monster.

I think the problem with the depression storyline (and even the storyline with Jimmy's family in last week) is the show can't do a decent enough job between balancing the drama and humor. Gretchen's depression and Jimmy's desperate need of approval are scarcely accurate, but the show has been relying too much on the supporting characters for the humor. I will say the LCD Soundsystem episode from two weeks ago might've been the best episode the show produced (even if the only laughs came from Jimmy), but it seems "out of place" when compared to what we've seen in season one and earlier this season (like Lindsay shoving a turkey baister up her cooch).

I feel Master of None, especially the final two episodes of the first season, nailed how a show should balance both drama and humor (even with the sucker punch delivered in that last episode).

I assume Gretchen will attempt suicide as the season's cliffhanger, a story line we likely won't see finished.

I assume there still has to be more of a payoff with Gretchen taking the gun besides the climax of last night's episode.

Last night's episode was more frustrating than enjoyable. I enjoyed Gretchen pointing the gun at the women beating Sam's group up, but the rest of the episode was aggravating. I didn't care for the new Vernon subplot (I get that it was hinted at earlier this season with him forcing Lindsay to take the money), I still don't care for Edgar's subplot, and Lindsay was given really nothing to do.

Sam, Shitstain, and Honey Nutz deserve their own show if this gets cancelled.

Reading between the lines, it looks like FX wanted to keep the showrunner under contract so another network wouldn't scoop him up.

Okay, tonight's episode was one of the best of the season right behind LCD Soundsystem.

The show finally had a solid balance of drama and comedy... even if it did feel like it was the penultimate episode.

Seriously, can Falk's new deal with FX include a spinoff for Sam?

This episode was closer to what I wanted from the depression arc, though I didn't quite understand why Jimmy decided to jump in the bushes when he blew off his date.
