FX and FXX basically have no standards. They will almost certainly be the first basic cable channels that push actual female nudity.
I've found this season as funny as the first one. If anything, the actors seem more sure in their performances as these characters.

Neither did my girlfriend and I.
My assumption was she was feeling "too comfortable" in the relationship/house and she was headed to Ty's (similar to season one) or something about Jimmy's conversation regarding the rent or his nonchalant way of recognizing her paying the rent had her leaving.

Lindsay was on fire this episode after she swore off thinking about men.

I hope not, while not as awesome as the first, it just feels like the direction on this season is a bit off and well, who knows. But yeah, it doesn't look good when the star is begging for viewers. the move to Fxx wasn't helpful either.

I think its because here's no clear cut direction it's going in right now. At least with the unknown factor of what is happening to Gretchen at night not clear, it's sort of like.. so what's the plot this time around?

Jimmy is looking for work and Edgar is pining after Lindsay. It's a comedy, I don't really see a need for a huge arc.

I just realized why I don't like this show anymore. It's no longer about Jimmy and Gretchen being terrible people with great chemistry.....now it's just an ensemble comedy with crude dialogue. I think Edgar and Lindsey might even have more screen time than Jimmy and Gretchen this year and that's not good for me cause I don't like either of those characters for anything other than supporting roles. I'll finish out the season but if by some great miracle this gets renewed I won't be back.

People started liking the two of them as Season 1 wound down, the producers caught wind of that and gave us more, which, in effect, showed they don't work well at the forefront.

Lindsay has been hilarious in season two. Edgar is just kind of there, he probably does get too much screen time. The improv group is the only thing that hasn't worked for me in season two.
We have gotten much less of Gretchen's job this season, which I think some miss.

Yeah, we're getting snippets of this feud and I would rather focus on that dynamic... or at least resolve it like season 1 seemed to resolve those problems at work in one episode (think the homophobic interview) than see this stuff drag out because we're padding space with Edger's sort of boring adventures.

I still like the show but agree it's been way less fun than Season 1. I'll still watch, but I'd be less heartbroken if it didn't come back for a Season 3.

It's a relief they finally revealed her problem (I was thinking pregnancy but then she was drinking like a fish all episode) but I thought this was the worst episode of the series to date. It's the first episode that didn't click with me this season. Some funny lines but the overall plot was bizarre. Gretchen randomly dancing for the first act?!
