Really the recurring cast isn't as big. Basically Jeff Garlin, Susie Essman, Bob Einstein, and J.B. Smoove. Cheryl Hines could pop up but they're not together anymore. There are some common guests like Ted Danson and Richard Lewis but they aren't always on.

Damn that's a long wait. It'd be nice if the reason for it taking longer is that the season is going to be longer than normal but somehow I doubt it.

Not airing until 2018 totally sucks. Just wasting away the years at this point. I'm gonna be pissed if it's only like a 5 or 6 episode season, too.

David Mandel, a producer from Curb says today on Elliot in the Morning (promoting the Star Wars Mcquarrie art book) that the new Curb season should start shooting in November.

Thanks for the news! I know there was a previous item saying it wouldn't be out until 2018, but if they are filming next month I can't believe it will take a year to have it ready unless HBO sits on it for some reason.

Here’s some prettay, prettay good news for “Curb Your Enthusiasm” fans: Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen will reprise their roles on the HBO comedy’s long-awaited ninth season. The married couple, who have made occasional appearances on the show since its second episode aired in late 2000, play fictionalized versions of themselves. Deadline first broke the news.
Danson and Steenburgen will be joining Larry David (who also created the series), Jeff Garlin, Cheryl Hines and Susie Essman, all of whom are likewise returning. IndieWire has learned that, while Danson is believed to be appearing in most of the upcoming episodes, Steenburgen’s schedule won’t allow her to feature as prominently. The next batch of episodes was announced in June, nearly five full years since “Curb Your Enthusiasm” aired its season-eight finale.
