Loved Stan's demeanor after he came out of the room with his new assingment
I'm guessing Elizabeth will get to fulfill her fantasy of murdering Pastor Tim next season thanks to Paige.

Nerd nitpicks: the Commodore 64 went straight to a word processor editing screen without a splash screen and the program loaded in a split second but I can understand the director not wanting to display how annoyingly slow the floppy drive was. The word processor is WordStar, which wasn't released for the C64. It's also in 80-column mode although the C64 didn't appear to have an 80-column expansion cartridge plugged in and that wouldn't have been available in 1983 anyway. Lastly, C64s in a home probably would've been connected to a TV or a color monitor to take advantage of their 16-color output.

Could Pastor Tim be part of the KGB? If the Center knows that Paige knows, I'd have to believe that they'd be monitoring all calls in and out of the Jenning's household. And if the phone calls are monitored, there were plenty of times when that phone call could have been disconnected.

When Liz finds out what Paige has done, it will justify her assurance that atheism is the only way to go in this world.

Yeah, exactly. Totally "meh." Kinda my feelings on this whole season, and I generally love this show. Really--that was it? Even the arrest of the double agent woman felt very anticlimactic.
I liked that Stan got props for getting the job done outside the bureaucracy, but I didn't think he was playing Oleg (a character I also like).
Who was the guy Philip killed that "took care of the Martha situation"?

I'm pretty sure he was an IT guy at the FBI. Philip staged his suicide and left a quasi-confession to make it look like he was responsible for the bug(s). If the FBI thinks their guy is dead, they won't need to actively pursue any other leads.

It was an anti-finale. I guess they wrapped up Elizabeth visiting her mother in Russia arc. Everything was very low-key.
I've thought he's KGB since he first appeared. The wilder idea is that Stan's ex-wife is KGB as well and she's testing Philip for them. I have wondered why she was kept on the show this long.

I really liked the finale.
And the last scene with the Phillip and Paige scenes was just great. That's called a cliffhanger in old school television.
I mean, I'm sure that Phillip was almost ready to say that he wanted to convert, to become a double agent or something like that. He's ready.
Elizabeth of course is more Soviet than ever, and after watching that speech she will become even more Red.
I agree that their phone is tapped by the KGB. So either the Pastor is with the KGB, that I doubt it, or he will be killed soon.
And with this finale they are ready to wrap up the show. Not sure if it's going to be next season, of the season after that. But I don't see them going beyond season 5. The writers/producers are smart.

Got it. Makes sense I guess. Yet even that "resolution" felt very anti-climatic. I was thinking Martha was the one in danger, which she probably should be by this point as she knows "Clark" is not who he says he is and I'm not sure how much longer she can feed him information, so.......

They've been very coy with Martha's storyline. It would shock everyone if she has already gone to the Feds and is playing Clark.

Fantastic finale and what a perfect final shot. Elizabeth in the foreground and Philip in the background with Reagan speaking. I love this show. I wish the ratings were better.
I'm wondering if that's not more of a contractual thing. Like the actress is still under contract even though her character has been written out of the main story, so they use her for a few scenes here and there.

Stan's wife was barely in this season, but it sure looks like she will be more involved next season with Phillip since they are both in the "Graduate sex seminar"?
Paige probably just signed Pastor Tim's death warrant, I am actually curious where they will go with the plan to make her an agent. As of right now I don't see how she would even entertain such notions.

Maybe missed it, but are we supposed to know what (if anything) Philip revealed to Martha after removing his Clark disguise at the end of the previous ep?

a little anticlimactic, but still good season finale.
I wondered what was going on with Clark's wig removal, what was up with that?
And they kind of left the underage CIA daughter dangling as well.
The Paige stuff was decent, but yeah, would have been better if she turned, but more realistic to think she was gonna be upset. The 80's were loaded with Anti-Russian media, so it would have been more hard to believe that she would be ready to flip to Mom and Dad.
THought she handled that scene on her bed really well, I felt for her.
I was expecting that line to be Bugged tho.
Glad it was renewed for one more season.
I don't know if they get 5 though, the ratings have not been great.

If the ratings have been good enough to get a fourth season, I'll assume FX will let them finish on their own terms.
I'd love to see what the ratings could be for season 4 if they put seasons 1-3 up on Netflix.
