That's a very interesting thought. I've wondered how they're going to handle this since everything is coming to light so fast--surely they wouldn't get rid of Wells. But this would be a decent solution, assuming Barry can still make sure the accident happens and he still becomes the Flash...

It's very interesting when they start messing with the timelines. Because how can he still become The Flash if X doesn't happen at X date, etc.

They really are giving it their all for a freshman season. I hope that doesn't make them run out of steam into later years.

They should Flashpoint the season finale and Barry wakes up in the Man of Steel continuity.

They should Flashpoint the season finale and Barry wakes up in the Superfriends continuity. Bring on a live action version of the Wonder Twins.

Didn't they have the Wonder Twins show up on Smallville? Those last few seasons have all blurred together for me.

Wouldn't know. Couldn't stomach that show at all.

To be fair, Caitlin was still really distracted by the "Barry" kiss and Iris is a fucking idiot.

Man of Steel Superman would have written her off rather than compromise his identity like that.

Agree about Iris, but there is no excuse for Caitlin. But it happens so often on the show I can see people just accepting them at this point.

Yes. Jann was an EMT and Zayna was a cloud. G.L.E.E.K. was an acronym and he never shrank. He in fact never was a monkey, and didn't even exist.

I forgot that I now need to plan around baseball for shows on WGN/CW. This aired about 40 minutes late last night here in Chicago. Somehow they managed to confirm that Dr. Wells is an imposter, the Reverse Flash, and a time traveler all in one episode. I really do appreciate how this show keeps things moving right along -- all except for the interminable Iris storyline.

Barry is still selectively slow on the show. He should be easily able to wipe the floor with normal speed enemies like Everyman. He should even be able to get out of the way of the spray when someone tries to mace him.

Still a pretty good show overall. It seems like Cisco is single-handedly becoming the Arrowverse tech-guy. He should set up shop and make a mint.

We're coming to the end, when does Grodd make an appearance?

Isnt the purpose of having a palm scanner on the outside of your secret lair is to prevent unauthorized access? If it opens the door anytime someone places their hand on it whats the point of having it?

What if it was a palm DNA reader, and thawne is really Barry Allen from an alternate future timeline, who fights another Barry Allen from the original timeline, and both went back in time to the night of Barry's mom's murder.

That explains it!

Re: The Flash (S1E19) -- "Who is Harrison Wells?" -- 4/21/15

I mentioned a few weeks back the idea of Barry going back and saving original Wells and his fiance. She seemed like a rooted character in just a few scenes. I think she would make a good addition to the show.

Agree on the hand print reader.

Loved how Caitlin woke Barry up and his reaction.

I'm holding out hope for Barry and Caitlin. You could tell she was much more into the second one. Such great chemistry.

But otherwise a pretty fun episode that moved things along pretty well. I imagine we'll see at least one more attempt at a time reset, which I hope doesn't kill the show.
Agreed. There were a couple of really dumb moments when the characters acted stupidly. Another one was one Barry just let the shapeshifter (disguised as Eddie) just into his apartment.

I liked the scenes with Jesse L. Martin and Paul Blackthorne together.

Yeah I too like the villain in this episode - was neat how he was able to save the images of the people he touched - made the fight scene at the end with the Flash fighting Eddie, Iris, Catlin, Flash alot better. (Thought he would have to touch them again if he wanted to become them again.)

I'm glad they didn't go with the mind being control angle that was brought up the first half of the episode and what most people outside the show thought was going to be the reason why Eddie shot those two cops when they saw the preview of this episode.

I haven't yet watched last nights episode of Arrow so I don't know if Captain Lance is still a dickhead at least to Laurel. If not - then hopefully he changes by the next episode - otherwise those were wasted scenes between him and Joe.

Edit - Just watched this weeks episode of Arrow - no Captain Lance so we have to wait until next week to see if he changes.

With all the revelations about Harrison Wells, the Everyman storyline seemed like a distraction to me. We all know how these villain of the week stories end, but the reverse flash storyline is so much deeper. Can't wait to see how it turns out, since it's unlikely he'll be chucked into their ridiculously illegal private prison thing at the end.

Re: The Flash (S1E19) -- "Who is Harrison Wells?" -- 4/21/15

In his apt Wells got out of the chair and walked to fix himself a drink. In fact he walks a lot when he's alone. Wouldn't his shoes show some wear? At some point wouldn't he need new shoes? Anyone looking at his shoes should be able to tell he's not confined to the wheelchair.
As to the palm reader, it would have been better if Barry had vibrated thru the wall and then opened it from the inside. But then maybe Wells wouldn't know his secret room had been found.

In post #40 what does thawne mean?

Thanks, I think. I looked up Thawne and learned that Flash
Spoiler:
married Iris who Thawne later killed only for Flash to reunite with her in the 30th century. So now I know why they are keeping her around.

Waiting for when the Reverse-Flash is revealed to be a cloud that once worked as an EMT...
