BBCA: 0.535 million / 0.19
AMC: 0.411 million / 0.13
WE: 0.128 million / 0.03
IFC: 0.116 million / 0.03
Sundance: 0.081 million / 0.02

It will be interesting to see the ratings for this Saturday's episode, which is airing only on BBC America.

AMC normally airs movie repeats on Saturday nights, right (I see Jurassic Park scheduled for this Saturday)? I wonder what the ratings are for the movie repeats? With AMC usually in a lower cable tier than BBC America, a BBC America/AMC simulcast of future episodes might help increase ad revenue for the show.
I think it is weird that I never watch any TV on Saturday and now suddenly I have Outlander and Orphan Black on in the exact same time slot.

I bet Outlander has some of the same audience as this show.

The problem with the male clones is that they appear fairly stupid and all of them are evil. It would have been better if we were introduced to a single male clone before introducing an entire mythology around them as well. Orphan Black doesn't have a particularly long season, it's a lot of story points to cover in a short time.

I agree that there seems to be too many clones now, and making all the male clones evil makes them all seem pointless mainly because we don't spend enough time with them to differentiate them much.

The biggest problem I have with the show is that it doesn't seem to differ much in what's going on. S2 was just more running around - people being kidnapped and then escaping/being rescued. S3 is starting the same way - gotta get Helena back now. I'm guessing at some point Kira will be kidnapped again. And it feels like more of the same with regards to trust - going back and forth between trusting certain people or not (ie. Mrs. S. and Paul).

I hope this season offers something different, otherwise I may have to bail.

Agreed. Season 1 was so much better because it was rooted in something. I liked seeing Sarah pretending to be a cop while figuring out who she was. Seeing her relate to Beth's boyfriend as well as people from her past.

Now I just don't feel like there is anything we as viewers get to settle into. The plot isn't grounded by anything.

They should have introduced a male clone as some sort of individual, get to know him as a character and then reveal other clones one by one, like they did with the main clones.

"Fist me".

I'm also finding it a little confusing - and it's not because of the science. Like I said earlier, a lot of clones and too much running around. Kira's in danger, so they'll send her away to protect her... again. With these characters and all the bad deeds they've done - wasn't Kira always in danger? Shouldn't she have been in hiding all along?

I've been hesitant to start s this season. I really like season 1 and found it to be highly entertaining with great humor and just enough plot to make things interesting. Then in season 2 it stopped begin entertaining, the humor vanished and the plot became a huge convoluted mess.
How is it so far this season?

Re: Orphan Black (BBC America) - Season 3 Discussion Thread - Premieres 4/18/15

The gap between seasons was to long. I forgot most of what happen and was completely lost on what was going on now.

So the first episode was just confusing to me but I did like the second episode. I don't think the male clones are boring but they are kind of hard to tell apart at the moment. I think this might change as the show goes on.

Anyone else get a "Weeds" vibe from Allison/Donnie? Dealing drugs at a kids soccer game. I think that's how Weeds opened the series.

I've watched every episode in the last week with OnDemand. While it's a very dense plot, it pretty easy to follow (and very engaging) if you're binge watching it. Had I been tuning in live each week (I don't even get BBC America) and waiting nine months between seasons, I might have had difficulty keeping track of the multiple threads. Hopefully the viewership will improve and people continue discovering it through streaming/DVDs. Maslany is friggin' amazing.

Re: Orphan Black (BBC America) - Season 3 Discussion Thread - Premieres 4/18/15

Yeah, Allison is the best clone on the show, by far. She's genuinely hilarious, and I love how her relationship with Donnie has developed after he learned her secret. They were the best part of season 2.

I agree this show is spinning it's wheels a little bit. It's kind of like Lost in the sense they keep introducing new aspects to the storyline without every providing a satisfactory conclusion to previous ones. I don't particularly care for the male clones - especially since they're all clones of a character I didn't particularly like in season 2. I'm open to see where they go with it, if only because Maslany continues to be brilliant on this show. I totally agree that when she plays one of the clones impersonating another, the little nuances she uses to help sell it to the viewer are really amazing. She already plays Rachel, but it's just a little different when she's playing Sarah playing Rachel.

Surprise appearance by Justin Chatwin - even though he's Canadian and this is a Canadian series, but still...

I'm finding this show to be pretty much unwatchable lately, which makes me kind of sad.

"Stick it in fast. It'll hurt less."
"You must be one hell of a first date."

@ Donnie appearing in daylight with their stash neatly labeled on those bins ("Purple Drank", etc). I didn't care for that actor from Shameless and was actually expecting another version of the male clones inside that van.

Sarah needs to take a break from having a gun pointed to her head, playing hide n seek. It's getting repetitive. I also didn't care for the Proletheans and just wish that Big Love type cult would die already now that their outsider miscarried.

I'm getting very very close to dropping this. Alison Hendrix and Donny are awesome but the rest of the show is flat right now.

I may just skip the rest of the season and binge it on Blu ray.
