I think he means the low res picture that was leaked early this morning. That was the first time we saw the red suit.
So who is going to marathon the whole season this weekend? I plan to do it. It won't be the first time I have marathoned a 10-12 episode season in one weekend.

Looks like a similar construction to the Captain America suit. Part of me wanted a more traditional Spandex suit, but honestly most people on the planet couldn't pull that off. This is the most sense... at least it's not full on body armor like the Batman suit or constructed out of basket-balls like the new Spidey suit.
Lets hope we get a full suit look today.

I just got a Samsung 4k TV I'm using as PC display. I'm thinking of upping my Netflix subscription to the $11.99 level just so I can watch this in 4k.

It just doesn't look that good in whatever lighting they used in the Netflix photo. It may still be a good series but the red costume looks pretty terrible in that image. I guess the Marvel filmverse has largely weeded out traditional fans that knew these characters before they saw Iron Man.

To me this is a pretty monumental moment in TV history
The first broad appeal show to be created and released by a website ! as opposed to a network of some kind

It feels like a gamble and experiment in that regard. They have been advertising Daredevil on regular cable and broadcast networks for awareness. I think Netflix wanted to get into the superhero business and they thought this was the cheapest way.

I get realistically a spandex suit (which is likely the most popular suit material in the Marvel universe, if not all of comic history) is next to impossible for some guy to create in his bedroom. But since Daredevil is one of the most acrobatic characters in that Marvel universe (I would argue more so then Spidey since he is blind, has no webs and cannot stick to walls) that they would find a happy medium. Unfortuantely I guess we are stuck with the Brinks driver uniform. At least we will likely have the Bro / Joe Sixpack uniform comprised of GStar and Diesel clothes for most of the season.

Think of his costume this way. What is it going to look like when this Daredevil runs into the much slicker Spider-Man costume? I would guess the television budget is playing a part here.

Maybe I'm wrong, but wouldn't spandex be cheaper on a small budget than "armor"?
I do wonder how or why Murdock can afford to buy armor. Bruce Wayne makes sense because he is a billionaire so he can buy all kinds of fancy stuff. How does a blind lawyer buy this stuff?
I also am wondering now how they are going to handle Iron Fist's costume. His comic costume would never translate well to screen.

But after House of Cards, Orange is the New Black, Bloodline and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, it seems like Netflix has a decent grasp on well made shows (and they're pretty good at importing / co-producing as well, as with Lilyhammer, The Fall, etc; )
We'll forget that bullshit True Blood knock off from Eli Roth exists.
Anyway, budget wise Netflix is shelling out $200m for 60 episodes from Marvel, that averages out to $3.3m/episode which isn't too shabby. I'm sure the first couple episodes of each of the five properties will be the most expensive. (By comparison, TWD is $2.75m/episode, House of Cards is $3.8m/episode.)

so apparently I was wrong, and it is real. and it looks stupid.
but, quite frankly, given the source material, translated to real life, how could it not?

So will Netflix explode tonight as 90% of their subscriber base simultaneously logs on to watch Daredevil?

I am no comic nerd. Was just hoping he did not look like a random Call of Duty Advanced Warfare skin.

Yeah I have to work tomorrow, no 3AM binging for me. If it was EST, I might watch one or two episodes, but guess it will have to wait for tomorrow night.
