He's played by Will Smith, the star of the movie. So that's a bingo.

The movie division should just shut the fuck up when it comes to these things. The only people multiple versions of the same character on different properties could possibly confuse is the retarded executives at WB that don't know a fucking thing about any of the characters they control.

It's not like Blue Beetle is in any upcoming DC films and they nixed him too.

Seems like the worst idea possible for an assasin to Tattoo the names of his victims on his body. I mean at least make the police work for it if they catch you.

Its not like he was an integral part of the show. And as someone already mentioned he was played by a pretty horrible actor. I dont think its a big loss. Plus Arrow's version of the suicide squad never really came off all that well.

I just don't get DC's rationale. Did they NOT want a shared universe? Then why the fuck would it matter if Deadshot isn't Will Smith in the TV universe?

Combination of not wanting people to get confused(which to be fair, people seem to want to put continuity into almost everything) as well as the mindset of people not wanting to pay for something theatrically that they can see for free on tv and also wanting to avoid brand competition.

all things considered how shitty a fighter roy is, ollie was probably hoping in his concussed state he wouldn't recall how to get back to the arrow lair and that saves him from having to finally put roy to sleep aka tell thea he sent him off to a farm with a family who loves him, and where he can do parkour off as many barns as he likes.

This episode had several weird moments like leaving Roy on the ground for a dramatic walk away, Ollie practicing his sword work after sending everyone else out to look for the bad Arrows, Diggle and team stopping to patch up Deadshot after only running about 10 feet down a hall from the bad guys they just murdered, Ray Palmer making a speech about Arrow at a police press conference, and so on.

This show is rapidly becoming...well, not good.

No way Deadshot died in the explosion. Based on his cover fire to help Diggle and the hostages escape, he was on the opposite side of the explosion.

It's remotely possible he might show up on the planned DC series with the Atom. I've heard some intriguing rumors about it.

They need to hire a script supervisor whose sole job is keep up with where Roy's unconscious body is at any time during the story to make sure that the other characters at least acknowledge his continued existence.
