I haven't seen today's episode yet but last week's paintball episode felt like old school Community. It felt like the best they can do with the current cast.

Episode 12 takes place at a wedding. Chang is in pretty much every scene and they're all outside of the study room.

I finally binged all the current episodes this weekend. I gave up on this show in season 4. I have to say Keith David is so much an improvement over Chevy Chase it makes me like the show again or at least can tolerate it now. I have been enjoying the season overall and I do miss Yvette Nicole Brown. She is wasted on Odd Couple. Donald Glover not so much as I always thought the praise for him is way overrated. He had good chemistry with Danny Pudi but even that got tired at least for me.

This was interesting episode that took a dark turn...
Chang was also given a lot more to do this episode with a great speech even if it was on the wrong end of the morality and, in some States, legality scale.

I found the latest episode a chore to get through. I don't care about the characters who were getting married and the episode could barely hold my attention.

This show is a shell of its former self but I feel I must keep watching in the hopes that a good episode will turn up soon. The last couple have been awful.

It's just never been the same for me since Troy left. Community without the Troy/Abed combo is like Scrubs without the JD/Turk combo.

Then there is knowing the only reason they were late to the wedding is because they were all making fun of the groom.
Yeah, I'm done when this season ends.

Two F bombs, two characters come out of the closet, three characters leave... definitely felt like the last Community ever to me. I'm going to really miss this gang.

I did not enjoy the finale. The meta stuff was already wearing thin for me long before this episode. It's like that's all the show has left.

Come on! This season was far better than season 4 and as a whole, I'd say it was better than season 5.

Agreed. I'd rank them:
Season 3
Season 2
Season 1
Season 5
Season 4
Season 6
It's a tight call between 3 and 2, but 3 takes the cake with the "multiple timelines" episode and the "8 bit" episode, plus a few other gems. There was also the arc with Chang which seemed awful at first but it was actually a pretty tight story that took the entire season to unfold.
Season 1 took a while to get going. The show had to figure itself out. Which is understandable for such an offbeat show.
After rewatching season 4, I think it's a tighter call then I first realized between season 5 and 4. 5 was better but not THAT much better.
6 is by far the worst.
Still, I'd be up for a movie if Harmon took his time to write the story and they were about to get Troy and to a lesser degree Shirley. Maybe even Chevy Chase in a flashback/zombie role.
Season 3
Season 2
Season 1
Season 5
Season 4
Season 6

I'm behind on the last few episodes of this season, but just based on the first half I'd still put it above season 4. It may be just a handful of moments here and there but at least season 6 shows brief glimmers of the old magic. Season 4 was like the pod people version of Community. It looked like Community, it sounded like Community, but the soul was m.i.a. It also had the nerve to resolve all of the show's long running storylines in about the least satisfactory way possible.
Like I said, I still need to finish season 6, but I'd rank the seasons like this:
2
1
3
5
6
4

Well, goodbye Community. Sure, maybe a movie shows up online eventually, but I would be surprised if we got a seventh season. Sounds like most people here wouldn't want it anyway, considering their negative views on the 6th.
I'm glad I gave this show a chance. I started watching Season 1 around the time Season 3 debuted. The promos didn't do much for me, but the great word of mouth did.

So, Annie was the Ass Crack Bandit, right?
I'll miss this show. I enjoyed this season.

I'm surprised at the negative reaction to this season.
I felt the last network season managed to present a sense of closure, and I wasn't initially interested when the "Yahoo season" was announced. But I thought it all worked quite well, including the addition of two new cast members.
I have loved this show through its high and low spots, but there are few series that have made me laugh as consistently hard.
Farewell, Community. I will miss you. And thank you...

I liked this season, but it was definitely a shell of the first 3 seasons.

That title card with the hashtag was fitting.
I was amazed that they got as many guest stars in this but the one person who Abed needed still didn't come back. Also, I never noticed that the Dean never once dressed up in a costume when addressing the group at the start of the episode... until it was pointed out. Frankie's interpretation of the group was "interesting" but Leroy's exit was a bit "off."
I'll definitely miss Community and hey, for those who hated this season, at least Yahoo gave them more money for stuff like actual sets, outdoor shoots, and a family for Britta.

Re: Community (Yahoo Screen) - Season 6 Discussion Thread - premieres 3/17/15
Overall I think this season was worthwhile, but some aspects and entire episodes were way too self-indulgent, like the RV episode and the finale. I like a little breaking of the 4th wall, but when it's overused it feels not clever, but lazy. To Paraphrase Buffy, the subtext quickly becomes text.
And it seriously breaks immersion. None of the emotional character moments worked in the finale for me because the rest of the episode was one constant reminder that the characters aren't real. I found it humorous that they were even attempting them, which may have been the point, I don't know.
