After that jaw last week I didn't think it could get creepier. Then I saw the preview for this week.

Good part 1 of the Halloween episode. Wes Bentley was great as Edward Mordrake. I felt bad for Ethel throughout the episode. I liked the Bette and Dot scenes and Dot being jealous of Emma Roberts' character was funny.

Hardly any comments? Aren't people around here watching the show?

Only speaking for myself here, but maybe it's because we're not sure what to think of this season so far. Three episodes in, three musical sequences. All three episodes have exceeded the hour long time slot, and for a show that has a tendency to get disjointed as the season goes on I'm wondering if the added run length is a good or a bad thing.
The freak show setting seems to be idling, but I'm loving the clown subplot, along with the spoiled man-child. Good riff on Carpenter's Halloween this week, if not a bit too obvious. I like the fact that he seems more evil than the actual evil clown.

The only thing that could ruin it in my opinion (and I wouldn't put it past the producers) is if they turn the evil clown "good", after he sees how bad the man-child is.

I will find it highly ironic if the actual singing legend on the show doesn't get to sing.

I wasn't going to say anything but I think the entire season has been one long trainwreck. After sticking by this show for three seasons, I've pulled it from my DVR. The most frightening things this season have been the awful musical numbers.
It took them much longer to lose the plot in the prior two seasons.

This season is alright.
In the way that Danny Huston was the best of Coven, I think that the clown story is all we get here. And maybe the rich kid doing the Crispin Glover thing.

Like many FX originals (I'm looking at you SOA) this show benefits from judicious use of the 30-second skip button. There are enough interesting nuggets here -- the evil clown, the 50s setting, the freaks at leisure -- that I'm not willing to give up on it completely but I'm sure as heck not sitting through all the dreck.

I think they sometimes go over the top to the level of parody. The clown is an example of this. This clown diminishes the show, while a regular looking evil clown would have improved the show.

Foot penis? How'd you come up with that? Or do you mean foot long penis? I'm assuming it was long by him referring to a sword.

I liked that little black and white snippet with Edward second face, just the idea of it it's quite unsettling
