It'd be great if, over the break, the show enters the zombie apocalypse.

They should make an after show called "Parental Talk"

We all know Zeke's gonna die. They're just teasing us at this point. Instead of a stunning surprise heart attack death, we get this slow 3 week process of deciding on an operation that will fail.

I think it would be funny if they killed off Peter Krause's character a few episodes before the ending instead.

Bringing back the brothers not being on the same page in regards to the recording studio wasn't their best move either. Defiantely going out in a bad way. Too bad since the show used to be so good. But I'll still watch the rest for some kind of closure.

This storyline suffers from the fact that not selling the studio to Dwayne Wayne when they had the chance was so fucking stupid.

Re: Parenthood (NBC) -- The Final Season Thread -- Premieres 9/25/14

yeah, with only 3 episodes left, the whole robbery and option to walk away from this built up recording studio seems unneeded.

Re: Parenthood (NBC) -- The Final Season Thread -- Premieres 9/25/14

Here's how I would end the series.

Zeek's life is hanging in the balance during his operation. Everyone is waiting to hear the news. SLOW FADE TO BLACK.

TITLE CARD: 40 YEARS LATER

Zeek is standing in a cemetery...alone...paying his respects to his entire family. A SLOW PAN across the gravestones indicates that everyone died on the same day.

Zeek outlives them all! No explanation given.

Re: Parenthood (NBC) -- The Final Season Thread -- Premieres 9/25/14

Well, it came as no shock to anyone that Amber had a boy & named him Zeek. I wonder how this show will end. After watching the preview for next weeks' finale we know
Spoiler:
Zeek is still alive as he walks Sarah down the aisle
I wonder if there'll be some kind of "one year later" ending.

In all, I've enjoyed this show & will miss it. Great cast & acting. I'm curious as to what Jason Katims is working on next. About a Boy doesn't look like it will last beyond this season.

Re: Parenthood (NBC) -- The Final Season Thread -- Premieres 9/25/14

This season isn't the greatest because it's obvioulsy been a bti rushed and of course....it's tough to wrap up a show like this - meaning Parenthood has always been about the relationships between the characters, there's no big explosions or "who dun it" mystery - it's just a show that hit a nerve with a ton of people and developed a huge loyal fanbase because of it. It's kind of tough to wrap things up when the meat of your show relies on full seasons to overcome conflicts.

Still liked last nights episode better than the previous two - and I like that
Spoiler:
Amber named her baby Zeek, it was a nice full circle moment

I actually cried when Zeke saw his great grandchild and learned his name. I am going to miss this show.

Yeah, as predictable as the storylines were, it got to me. God damn this show. I'm going to miss it.

I do agree that stuff felt very rushed. Like the dispute between the two brother's and their wives could easily have been stretched out longer and actually feel like it had the proper pacing for it. Instead we get them angry in the hospital and then all chill at the school.

Great moment. Very moving. I'm hoping that changes zeke's mind on giving up on the surgery. (I don't think it will)

Re: Parenthood (NBC) -- The Final Season Thread -- Premieres 9/25/14

i enjoyed julia and joel fighting in the car. i wish they had done that sooner and avoided the tension that had caused the separation. i do not recall julia having multiple partners, or joel having any though.
