I'm sorry, much as I respect everyone's right to an opinion - anyone with a positive view of this trainwreck, trash heap pile, plotted out and written in the space of... an hour of a season? Nuts.
This...? This just isn't even remotely the same show. This season, at any point, would be a travesty. As the *final* one? ... ... ...
They've spent an entire freaking season just playing to those internet dwelling "shipper fans" or pornographic fanfic fanbase. This *entire* season can be summed up in just one bloody scene: Eric and Jason's dream sex scene. Obviously, the showrunner and writer's room believe their sole purpose was creating ten excruciatingly boring episodes making all the fan's relationship drama BS dreams come true.
For me, at least, they've left a horrifically bitter taste in my mouth for the rest of my days of what had been one of my all-time faves. Me? I watched this show - and goddamn loved it - for the Russell gory glory. The big bads and mature supernatural drama. A fan of the genre, I felt like what they'd done with the Vampire mythology - having freaking Biblical Lilith as the originator of the entire species - was a stroke of genius. I desperately hoped that S6 was going to have taken that puppy - the ancient, fantastical - and run with it. They didn't, but it still wasn't horrible.
This, however? It's, sorry, garbage. Absurdly tedious, drawn out, and going out with a whimper. They aren't just catering to only a subset of TB fans with the whole final season, they've utterly ignored another subset composed of just as many, if not even more. 250 year old vampire, final two episodes spends sulking and decides suicide is the answer so beloved Sookie can be free at last! Come on... just put glitter on him next Sunday and embrace what you've written.

This season makes the season with the witches look like Breaking Bad in comparison. Even the werepanther storyline was better than almost everything in this season.

What a terrible episode. I had hopes that the Hep-V (and its cure) storyline was going to redeem the latter part of this season. Now I know there's no such luck. Even in most of the show's worst moments in the past (the Maryann storyline, Tara & Eggs, the werepanthers), at least the show was not dull and each episode would still seem to fly by. Not this episode (or a lot of this season) - the show has achieved being boring.
After complaining when it started that there were only 10 instead of 12 episodes in this final season, I'm now glad that there's just one more left to go. (I don't know if it will hit the "lumberjack" level of bad finales, but the prospects aren't looking good.)

Surprised by all the negativity on this one (even though I was incredibly negative on the first two episodes of this season). I really though everyone would be thrilled with the Hoyt-Jessica thing and where they are going with Jason and Hoyt's ex. All the yakuza stuff is as campy and over the top as the show has ever been and they even dropped the vampire politics / werewolf stuff that the entire forum complained about the past three seasons.
Oh well, just one left.

It feels like at least once per episode this season that Pam's life is held hostage against Eric. He really needs to teach her to defend herself. Every time he's about to kick some ***, oh look Pam's been captured.
I think Jessica was a lot better off without Hoyt so them hooking up again was really not a good thing for me. I assume they'll just break up again though. Jessica may have changed, but Hoyt seems like even more of a jerk who just wants a woman to do his cooking and cleaning like his mama.

haha. no kidding. Since he's been glamored and returned, he's been even more of a jerk and less of the Hoyt we remember all those seasons back.
It's really pandering to a small crowd that screamed for this back then but the majority has sense gotten over it and the growth between Jason and Jessica since has been that much more better. So pairing H/J together just seems pointless and doomed to fail.

It should have been focused on Eric Pam Godric and Russell.

Just watched this episode prior to the finale today, bloody aweful !
obligation watching to finish things off. Final season has been so disappointing
They needed an epic big bad. It;s been more like Days of our lives
