I noticed the repeats are all rated PG.
I don't know about the repeats but there was uncensored profanity in the premiere.

Sad that people will probably be cheering for a scumbag like Prince Shembo after this episode.

Brian Cox should get more screen time

Is it me or is it hard to understand what the players are saying most of the time?

So when the players say "you know what I'm sayin'", you don't know what they are saying.

Is it just me or does this season of HK seem far more boring and tedious than previous ones? Both episodes I had to stop in the middle and watch later because it was really uninteresting and the production value, especially the camera work, was really bad.

Matt Ryan seems like the kind of guy that only gets riled up when someone brings up Firefly.

Thing I noticed is that the coaches and players talk in almost continuous cliches. Mike Smith is the dullest head coach ever, he is not coming across well at all.

Him telling his players they need to get tougher is cringeworthy. Yes, the recent Falcon teams have been called soft because, well, they're soft. But that's because they have a soft head coach. So him telling his players they need harden up doesn't fit.

Also, if you need to teach a bunch of pros about being tough and protecting their teammates then you know you have a more fundamental problem. That's not the kind of thing that gets solved with a lecture. That's something that's solved with a change in attitude.

it was recently pointed out to me that the falcon logo is an 'F'. slapped my forehead in a "fck, why didn't i ever notice that before" moment.

Nothing like being told to act harder by a guy in shorts and sandals.

Holy shit, you're right!

Never noticed it before. Now I can't unsee it, like the arrow in the FedEx logo.

Not football, but here's the old Brewers logo:

I think that's the biggest problem with this season - the people just aren't all that interesting. You know HBO is shooting dozens of hours each week and giving us the best stuff they have - it's just not that entertaining. Maybe it will get more interesting the next couple of weeks as more players get cut.

This past episode was easily the best of the season. They got back to what makes the show compelling, the players. Less head coach speeches.

Yeah, that's when the show gets more compelling. I like the behind the scenes of the pre-season games.

Ahh...another week with the most uninspiring coach in the NFL.

You know you're in trouble when the most interesting personalities are the assistants...not the players...not the head coach...but the assistants.

Re: Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Atlanta Falcons (HBO) - 8/5/14

The scenes with Matthews trying to block JJ Watt was epic.

D.J. Swearinger never shuts up.

Maybe the Texans do Hard Knocks in 2015 and this was a preview?

I thought the 3rd episode was the best one of the season except with the opening with the ACL surgery

Brian Cox saying he started ****ing when he was 10 years old lol

Between Blank marching around the sidelines and their hipster GM, I completely expect and hope they repeat last year's performance for years to come.

Or they will have a decent regular season and maybe even make the playoffs, but then revert back to incompetence hosting the wild card game against the Giants or Eagles. This will be just enough to get Smitty and Matty Ice another lengthy contract extension and keep the Falcons irrelevant for the forseable future.

Or the Packers. C'mon! I guess that wasn't the wild card...

Wasn't that the same hipster gm that helped NE win all those super bowls?

Bellichick's been the defacto GM for NE for as long as I can remember.

It's hard to judge from HARD KNOCKS exactly how well a team will do...I remember the one featuring the Bengals a few years back (the 2009 series, not the 2013 one) and they just looked horrible - and then wound up winning the division and going to the playoffs that season.
