Saw a great idea for a new show for her on another forum. NCIS Sarasota.

Yeah, gay characters have become the new adopted black kid ( another cliche shoehorned in by JB Smoove).

ABC canceled MEMBERS ONLY. Yet another show that was canned before it premiered.

This is turning out to be a terrible Season for all network.

A rumor going around that Fox may bring back X-Factor...
http://www.tvguide.com/news/fox-x-fa...l-1089632.aspx

The ratings weren't great, but since the Utopia experiment that took its spot bombed so hard maybe they don't seem as bad now.

Re: The One and Only TV FAQ Thread Plus Cancellations and Renewal News

Playing House just got renewed for a second season.

I am happy, as it is a nice and light goofy little sitcom.

Re: The One and Only TV FAQ Thread Plus Cancellations and Renewal News

This is not cancellation news but I didn't know where else to put it. The top cable ratings for 2014 are in and some channels are doing better than others:

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/liv...-losers-760753

ESPN is holding steady as everyone else declines, dethroning USA as the #1 rated cable network. Fox News continues to dominate news for the 13th consecutive year, as MSNBC continues to fall in ratings.

FXX appears to have been a big winner with its Simpsons' deal.

I just heard that on the radio! We have latest season on DVR. Apparently it ended on a cliffhanger. I hope something can be done to tie things up - DVD, kickstarter, or mini tv movie.

No, it didn't end on a cliffhanger. That was mis-reported. Every storyline was wrapped up. They left some potential for a 6th season, but there was nothing left hanging.

Re: The One and Only TV FAQ Thread Plus Cancellations and Renewal News

Basically the Flash has carried the CW to its highest ratings in several years. Expect to see more heroes in brightly-colored costumes on the channel.

CBS has given early renewals to three of its freshman drama series: Scorpion, NCIS: New Orleans and Madam Secretary have all been renewed for second seasons, the network’s entertainment chairman Nina Tassler announced Monday. “These freshman dramas have each made a big impact on key nights of the week,” Tassler said. “Creatively distinctive, the series are backed by strong showrunners with amazingly talented casts, and have resonated with a big, broad audience.”
