Not only does it make perfect sense to do what she did (multi-cams are easier and less time-consuming to shoot than single-cam...that's a fact), she also chose the actual TV show over the webseries. Silly to throw her under the bus on this.

Community is still filmed like a TV show even if it's going to be on the web.

Joining an "actual TV Show" on a network which has not renewed a mid-season comedy since 2007 starring someone who has had One Season failures three times...isn't really that good of an idea. But hey, she's taking care of her ill father. So she says.

I don't blame her for her decision, but have the stones to come out and say she'd rather hitch her wagon to a new show than on Community, which probably has one season left to go. This other stuff with her dad is just silly. It's not as if she doesn't have the resources to hire someone to help with her father.

She has to make a living like anyone else. This season of "Community" amounts to, maybe, three months of employment. If "Odd Couple" is better job security, good for her.

Except I pointed out the exact opposite. CBs has not renewed a mid season comedy in 7 years. Matthew perry has had 3 failed shows.

Might as well join a Christian Slater show co-starring David Walton. In the second Season they can bring in Meagan Mullanu and Sean Hayes as well, since they kill shows in Season two.
