It's nice to know The Dome exists, where all things (the writers think of that week) are possible.

It's a brave choice the writers have made with Rebecca. She's breaking new ground on television as a role model for sociopaths with genocidal tendencies.

Every Dean Norris interview I've read since last year has him sounding like he almost resents the Hank Schraeder character and was glad he was done, yet he seem to be in love with Big Jim. I see him as the definition of mustache twirling villain. Maybe this is Norris' comfort zone.

Norrie is the teenage girl with the two moms, right? Or is it a nickname for Dean Norris? So confused...

So the answer is she has two, one, or zero moms, because that's what the Dome wants and yearbooks don't lie and DJ Cop nailed those bridge taggers while Big Jim was fixing to mass murder everyone for lack of food the day after he was flipping flapjacks and putting on another pot of the endless coffee supply and why the frack didn't someone think to wipe that gruesome dead girl's handprint off the locker with a 26 year-old combination on it while zombie girl recognizes Barbie being from the same town when he would have been like 8 years old and 26 years before he slept with the Dome slut who has a thing for murdering loners and the Dome came down and changed all of our lives forever.

I never thought, in a million years, Under the Dome could be so fuck-tarded.

I loved how Dome Girl's locker had the same lock that it did 26 years ago.

I watched S1 but come back to this thread for the humor. I was sincerely hoping they could right the ship because I loved the book.
And if 11/22/63 does come to the small screen, I'll give that one a shot -- it's my favorite book of all time. That said, this should be a 3 hour movie, not a weekly show where the protagonist fucks up and fixes events in the past like Time Cop.

It's a shame The Lottery hasn't developed a following on this forum. The pilot on Lifetime made me think of a young Under The Dome in its stupidity.

Just catching up with this show
WHilst still stupid, season 2 is looking way better than season 1.
Lyle looks like he's in his 60s or older, not in his 40s . 1988 was 16 or 17 years old back then, should be in his early 40s.

All is right in the world! Julia and Barbie are back together, after an extended one episode spat that threatened to rock their two-week relationship to its core. I can rest easy knowing those two lovebirds are happy together in this crazy world of Domes and genocidal science teachers.
Here is my theory on Dome Girl©.
She was immaculately conceived by the Dome and is a holographic replica of the actual Melanie that died in 1988. It's obvious that Joe will get Dome Girl© pregnant, they were all over each other this episode. He's going to drop Norrie like a bad habit. Dome Girl© then travels back in time...to give birth to her son, Dale "Barbie" Barbara. Thus completing the cycle of life, as he grows up to save the Dome from Junior's creepy uncle.
The show is such an intricate tapestry of well-planned storytelling and characterization that it transcends the medium and deserves its rightful recognition as a masterpiece.
I was disappointed to see the end of Phil's reign as the town's sheriff. It did end in madcap hilarity but he was an inspiration to former radio DJs everywhere.

My favorite line of the night was
Dome Girl: "I just died. I don't want to sit around all day."

The people responsible for this show:
a) Hate the viewing public
b) Are desperately trying to be fired
c) Both a) and b)
d) Are trolling us all
Sherriff DJ Phil, WTF? Last week we all laughed at his line about catching the bridge taggers but somebody better go check on their well being. Then he goes and gets shot, which gives poor old Sherriff DJ Phil the distinction of being the first person Under the Dome to be shot on two separate occasions. The previous time was a mere 10 episodes ago and also in the shoulder. That would make it what, about a week ago in the show's timeline? Maybe the Dome just wants to keep a brother down. Fortunately the bullet probably passed through the other, slightly less recent bullet hole, and based on Julia's example we can expect he'll be up and around and banging relative strangers in an episode or two at most.
And the Joe/blood lab thing? Maybe that was his stealthy way of checking the gals out for STDs. Can't say I blame him.
Oh well, at least the Dome fell upon and isolated he stupidest, most wildly irrational town in America. So it can't be all bad.

I loved a couple of episodes back when Julia told Barbie that she missed waking up next to him.... a whole couple of weeks after she found out that he killed her husband.
This show... fuck this show. Why do I keep punishing myself?

If I've learned one thing from this show it's that there's nothing a pancake breakfast at the local Dome diner can't fix. Shoot, we just had a couple of characters implementing a plan that would get them tried for Crimes Against Humanity before the International Criminal Court at The Hague. If a pot of Big Jim's endless coffee supply can make everyone forget about the atrocity of an attempted war crime it can sure as heck fix what ails you. And it probably doesn't contain a biological weapon of mass destruction because its been hours since he tried something like that.
