Or just have Frankie win it all because he was HoH when the button was pushed.

Do we know for sure this is all invalidated, or can they make it up as they go along? Also, how much did production push them to push the button? Can you imagine if they just decided as a group not to do it? That would've made the season even more boring.

Man all I know is that Caleb has to be one of the biggest tools in the world. What a Dumbass and he thinks he's the best thing since sliced bread. Total idiot.

That would have been great, Frankie would have exploded live and on stage.

He is easily one of the dumbest dumb asses ever on the show.

I was watching After Dark and he was talking to all his so called "fans" and how's he's gonna always respond to them and take them hunting. So delusional.

Since it was a taped eviction with an audience of CBS employees there was no chance of Frankie getting booed tonight. Too bad.

Since he's in a final two alliance with Caleb, Cody, and Victoria I'm not sure how Derrick doesn't make the finals at this point. If Caleb doesn't win veto, then he's gone at four. I'm still not certain who Derrick will take to the finale should he win the final HOH. Conventional wisdom says Victoria, but, of all the houseguests, he is most loyal to Cody. Even if Caleb survived the round of four, Derrick would never take him.

^ What was up with that by the way? Was there an actual reason why they didn't have it live? (did they give one? I missed the show)

Please tell me they didn't tape it to mute the reaction and stage it to further feed Frankie's ego - while it would not completely surprise me for a show as manipulated as Big Brother, that still seems pretty weak.

They never do the final five eviction live. That's the night on BBAD that's shown pretaped from earlier in the day. They've already held the final four veto competition today. The live veto ceremony and final four eviction will be tomorrow.

The fact that tonight's episode was taped had nothing to do with Frankie. It was taped because of the schedule. This has happened the last couple of years as well.

In fact the only time I remember an eviction being taped because of possible problems was during BB11 when Chima was evicted after the Coup d'État.

Thanks guys - only been watching for a few years and hadn't noticed that the final five was always taped.

EDIT - just watching now... what was up with Frankie talking about choosing loyalty? He dumped zach because he was "bad for his game" and didn't he at one point try to dump the detonator alliance when none of them had control and then use his grandfather's death/paranoia as an excuse for trying to backstab everyone?

I thought Chima was kicked off by CBS after she refused to cooperate with anything and threw her mic in the hot tub.

Yeah... Chima was HOH, Jeff used his coup power to take down her nominees (Lydia and Russel) and put Jessie and Gnatalie up, with Jessie getting evicted.

Later that evening Chima threw a fit, destroyed her mic by tossing it into the pool, and was ejected.

That eviction was probably pre-recorded for logistical reasons; the live shows are on a strict time table and any complications could cause it to run over.

I got the facts a little wrong. The eviction where Jeff used the coup power was taped because they did not know how Chima, Nat, and that side of the house would react on live TV. So IIRC it was taped sometime afternoon on eviction day. That side of the house seemed more shocked than anything else. Chima was kicked out that Friday or Saturday.

No surprises tonight, though I thought Cody's speech was a respectable deflection.

Curious: Does the house know Derrick is a police officer?

Nope. He almost slipped up and told Victoria the other night though. He told the live feeders afterwards that he needed to be more careful, but he thought Victoria would have kept the secret anyway.

He's tried to be more respectful about how talks about her lately, but I think she's still going to be the most hurt at the end of the season.

I was pretty surprised that Frankie's ego is even bigger than I thought. I didn't think that was possible.

Re: Big Brother 16 -- now in HD! Premieres 6/25/2014

I think Derrick was taken by surprise by Cody's speech. Cody put it out there at just the right time, so Caleb will have new info to bring back to the jury. If Cody wins the final HoH, I imagine he'll take Victoria.. and Derrick may very well do the same... but who knows...

For a very uninteresting season, it looks like the final HoHs and resulting decision, as well as how the jury interprets it, may be the high point of BB16.

They would both be wise to take Victoria to the F2 as a goat, though if Cody wins the final HOH I could see Derrick talking him into taking him and dumping V to the jury.

They didn't show Frankie talking about winning "America's Favorite Player". He asked his sister, -if she was listening, -to ask her fans to vote for him. Supposedly, Ariana did that, and as a favor to her, so did Justin Beiber

Wow. I even said that to my brother last night. That the only way he would win the fan favorite is if his sister told her fans to vote for him. That seems fair. And I'm sure that will help with his ego.

Everyone calling Frankie on his bullshit last night was great. Probably the highlight of the season for me. After Cody's speech you could see Victoria was upset. That speech blows out her final 2 with Derrick so I wonder how he will deal with that.

I think Derrick will just reassure her that she's really his final 2 choice, that Cody could beat him, and in the end it's just Derrick's word against Cody's. At this point, she only has a relationship with Derrick, so she'll be more inclined to believe him regardless.

I really do hope though that Derrick takes Victoria to the Final 2 if he wins that choice. Cody really surprised me with that speech and it made me think he may have a more compelling end-game speech for the jury than I expected. If he can prove that every decision was as much his as it was Derrick's, it'll make things harder.

But Derrick still has it in his court that he's treated everyone with respect, especially the moment he knew they were getting voted out. Even when Frankie was throwing up his thoughts in the HoH room, Cody and Caleb were telling him he was delusional...but Derrick had the smarts to simply say, "Frankie, I respect your game." That could garner him Frankie's vote over the other two.

If Cody wins, does he take Victoria knowing that most of the jury views her as useless?

He should, but he's incredibly dumb. He'll take Derrick.

From what they've shown of the jury members, they realize now that Derrick has been controlling the entire game. I think Derrick wins it easily no matter who he is sitting next to in the finale.
