Re: Hannibal -- "Mizumono" -- 5/23/14 SEASON FINALE

I can't believe there was a point in time when I was like "What? A show about Hannibal Lecter? That's so dumb." Now, this show easily eclipses everything that has come before (books and movies) that featured this character.

I'm still a little unsure as to why things played out the way they did. Why Will made that phone call. But reading the fuller interview, I guess we aren't meant to truly know just yet, which is cool by me,

Re: Hannibal -- "Mizumono" -- 5/23/14 SEASON FINALE

I didn't know what Will was doing at the time, but he's genuinely upset when Hannibal is still there ("You were supposed to leave"), and I think he was trying to convince him Hannibal to escape in an effort to save a mostly defenseless Jack. Plus, while this is Hannibal, I think the audience is supposed to root for Will, so I can't imagine him actually intending to betray Jack.

I loved the Jack/Hannibal face merger shot.

Re: Hannibal -- "Mizumono" -- 5/23/14 SEASON FINALE

What an ep! I was shocked at how much blood flowed in the last 15 minutes. I not that surprised that Abigail showed up since they mentioned her in the previous eps. But I loved the way they foreshadowed Alana's death (maybe) earlier in the ep with the red tear.

Looks like we'll have to wait until the second episode to find out who lives and dies.

I'm intrigued with the change in locale (France) for Season 3. And it looks like we might be getting a lot more Gillian Anderson for S3. This manhunt for Hannibal might cause an interesting alliance between Mason and Will.

Probably the best season finisher I've ever seen, I was NOT expecting that. To top it off, the score was fan-fucking-tastic as well.

Just excellent. The scene after the credits was just more icing on the cake.

Re: Hannibal -- "Mizumono" -- 5/23/14 SEASON FINALE

These Hannibal seasons play out weird, because even though it happened this season, the death of Beverly felt like it happened years ago. This show is just so dense. It would have been nice if her name was mentioned in the finale by Jack.

Holy fucking shit!!!!!!

That was an epic season finale!!! Amazing!! Bringing back Abigail and then the twist with Bedelia. My God, this season was like watching a 13 hour Hannibal movie.

Looking forward to what Fuller has planned for season 3. I read the TV Guide interview and it sounds like he has a pretty clear vision on what he wants. Kudos to NBC for sticking with this show. It's clearly one of their best and bravest dramas. More show runners need to take risks like Fuller.

I literally was gritting my teeth and shouting out loud at the TV for the last 15 minutes. An incredibly tense and well-acted show. I can't wait to see what they Fuller has planned for next season. I'll need the summer to catch my breath and recover.

Re: Hannibal -- "Mizumono" -- 5/23/14 SEASON FINALE

what. the. fuck.

without a doubt one of the most intense hours of television ever created.

I'm glad that they renewed the show. Why would they even consider not doing so? Although I do give you that it's not your usual NBC show, so kudos to them for letting it run. The amount of insanity on this show is unbelievable

After Miriam Lass was found alive during episode 7, there was evidence at the scene that exonerated Will from the Chesapeake Ripper and Copycat killings. He was subsequently released.

I think Jack had doubts about Chilton when he arrested him. Remember that Jack went to kill Chilton, but once he had him cornered in the woods, Chilton just looked so pathetic, you can see doubt creeping into Jack's eyes. Then Miriam shooting Chilton was just too "neat" to have not been orchestrated.

I think it's somewhat to the show's credit that it doesn't outright spell it out that Jack switched. It also puts some doubt in the audience's mind if Will has actually turned, at least until Lounds is revealed as still being alive.

A plane flys through the sky shown during the credits. Cut to a flight attendant walking down the aisle in the plane offering champagne or orange juice in French. Hannibal in an aisle seat asks for champagne. Then the camera pans over to the window seat to reveal Gillian Anderson as Dr. Bedelia Du Maurie, who declines a drink. They hold hands, and Hannibal leans back in his seat and closes his eyes.

He wasn't exact. The stewardess was also offering water.

It looked like she had water on the tray, but the only two things she offered vocally were OJ and champagne. I just rewatched the episode last night.

Just watched this and holy shit. Didn't expect so much carnage, I'm amazed they're allowed to get away with so much. NBC deserves a lot of credit for bringing this back next season, can't wait.

Keep in mind that just because they're speaking French on the plane doesn't mean they are flying TO France. Could be a red herring.

Then you missed it both times. She clearly says "Jus d'orange, eau, Champagne?" twice. 'Eau' being French for water.

In interviews, Fuller has stated that the next season will start with Hannibal in Europe.

You're right, for some reason I thought she was saying "or," not "eau."

Yep. I'm guessing Detroit.
