That's on HBO Go, not sure if it's HD but I'm presuming it is. The only major show from recent years that's not on there is John from Cincinatti.

Yes it is in HD though Six Feet Under Seasons 1-2 and Oz 1-5 are SD.

I hope you can still access HBO Go on Directv.

I have Amazon Prime streaming apps on my iPad and iPhone...

I'm glad to see this happening. I have access to HBO GO, but the iPad app is ridiculously buggy.

So that's where the extra $20 is going.

Awesome, awesome, awesome. At first, I was afraid it wasn't for Prime, that it was just for sale. But indeed, it's for Prime and I am there.

He hasnt produced anything worthwhile since the original Arrested Development.

Good for Amazon but I'm not gonna join Prime until they stop being assholes about who gets to watch on their TV and phones/tablets.

Luckily this deal doesn't affect me since I have HBO Nordic which has current shows as well.

Missing Six Feet Under S3, prob an oversight.

In Treatment is fantastic, I've seen S1 and S2, haven't finished 3.

Yeah but the AD nerds suck his nuts almost as much as the Community people suck Dan Harmon's, so it's a positive for Netflix.

I'm looking through Amazon Prime right now and I'll probably want to start rewatching some shows until later today. One thing I wish was that From The Earth To The Moon was apart of the HBO deal.

That's not even on HBO GO...not sure what's up with that miniseries, but I'm glad I never sold my DVD set.

Anyone know why there's no "Arliss"? I wasn't expecting it on Amazon since it's not on HBO GO but it's exclusion seems odd to me. One of the best sitcoms HBO had. IIRC, there isn't a complete dvd set either, only "best of" collections.

I think ESPN currently owns some kind of syndication rights for it which prevents it from being streamed for the time being. Similarly I don't think HBO owns From The Earth to the Moon.

Some newer stuff is available. The final season of Eastbound & Down from last season for one.

ETA:

And Stephen Merchant's Hello Ladies!

Does anyone know if the Larry Sanders Show is part of this deal? I don't think that's on HBO Go either. It was on Netflix for a while, but seems to be gone.

This only benefits people who don't subscribe to HBO. It provides nothing more than HBO Go and unlike that service, won't even stream to an Android phone or non-Kindle Android tablet.

It aired on HBO but was released on DVD by Sony then Shout so my guess is they don't own the rights.

Re: Amazon to get Exclusive rights to HBO VOD catalog.

I have HBO and HBO Go so I have no use for this. This really only benefits those with no cable and or no HBO. My sister is cable-less, but has Prime, so she will probably use this. She's never really watched any HBO programming.

Not completely true. I have HBO, but I can only watch HBO Go in my basement where I have the PS3. I can't watch on the big screen in my living room because neither my tv nor my BD player have HBO Go channels. They do support Amazon Prime though. Admittedly mine is a very specific situation, but nonetheless I am excited.

This is good for people like me who have the new Amazon Fire TV device (it does not yet support HBO go).
