At least no more M. Rappaport sounding like he's working out inner demons every time he opens his mouth.
Wonder how much Dewey will figure into the final season?

Didn't like how they showed Tim in this episode. Gets taken out in a cliche run-the-red light car accident, then in the shootout it looked like the A-team. It would have been far better if they showed him as the crack sniper he has been built up to be, I'd have much rather seen him just drop one of those guys the second they made a move.
We did have another scene where Rachel and Gutterson are in the car, and they get the call from Raylan and off they go [to Ava's]. It was a great scene. The fun thing was Rachel saying, “Are you sure you’re gonna be okay?” And Gutterson says something like, “I’ll aim for the guy in the middle,” meaning he is seeing double right now from the accident [when Darryl lost the tail]. Nothing that bourbon and Ibuprofen won’t cure. So you see him later on in the aftermath scene popping a couple Ibuprofen.

I know where the idea comes from that they all die, and I was there after last season I think. Somebody talked me off that ledge, and I think they were right. Everybody dies is not an Elmore Leonard type of ending. Ava and Boyd die is a Leonard ending. Boyd and Raylan die is a Leonard ending. It's obvious that everybody involved in the production and in particular Olyphant are very particular about staying true to the source material. The most Leonard ending would probably be Ava survives, but the whole Winona and kid in Florida is a note they have hit so hard I almost feel like they can't really kill Raylan at the end and have an ending that is all that true to Leonard. Perhaps if they really take the Ava character somewhere over the course of the season it could happen. Maybe. I guess. I don't know.
