Hannibal -- "Takiawase" -- 3/21/14

HANNIBAL 204 "Takiawase " BEVERLY KATZ FINDS A CLUE ABOUT THE MURAL KILLER THAT SENDS HER DOWN A LIFE-THREATENING PATH

Our team is called in when a body is found in a meadow, the cranial cavity converted into a beehive. Meanwhile, Beverly Katz (Hattienne Park) continues to work on the mural killer case, secretly consulting with Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) to decipher the killer's human tapestry. Will insists that the killer was put in the mural by Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen), and urges her to prove that Hannibal is the real Chesapeake Ripper and Copycat Killer. Also starring Aaron Abrams, Scott Thompson, Amanda Plummer and Raul Esparza. TV-14 V

Beverly Katz

I grew to like her so I'm sad she got herself killed.

I wonder what it is she saw in Hannibal's lair.

I'm surprised there was no mention of the judge from last episode.

Wow!!! Great episode. So much is happening on this show.

I was sad to see Bella go, until I saw Hannibal flip the coin. Then it was pretty obvious what was going to happen.

Pretty creepy scene, all around, with Beverly at Hannibal's place.

Have to admit, if I wasn't sensitive to honey, I would rather eat that than the mushrooms from last season.

Excellent episode. I was on the edge of my seat for the last 15 minutes. Usually, I don't get squeamish during this show but for some reason that one scene with Amanda Plummer poking out that guy's eye made me uncomfortable.

RIP Detective Katz, I liked her and thought she and Will had a good relationship. Oh yeah, does anyone get a good laugh out of the two pathologists every week? They are so weird sometimes.

That last act? Holy shit!

I don't watch the previews for next weeks episodes, because I like everything being a surprise, but I cannot wait to see what happens next.

That was their plan. They were originally going to kill Beverly at then end of season 1, but they realized they hadn't spent enough time with her character for her death to have meaning, so they killed Abigail Hobbs instead.

I wonder what it is she saw in Hannibal's lair.
Well, we know that Hannibal kept Miriam Lass's arm for years, and they never recovered the rest of her body or Abigail Hobbs's, so I'm thinking a meat fridge where those bodies are hung up like cow carcasses. Or, possibly even a hospital like room where those two are kept on life support in an induced coma/paralyzed so they can't move, in order to keep the meat fresh.

Very true. There have been a couple scenes this season that were really hard to watch. They guy pulling himself free and this eye one. Can't remember the last time a TV show made me consider looking away. Even some R rated horror movies are not as effective as Hannibal has been at that this year.

Breaking into the house was dumb. She should have waited and told her doubts.

I'm usually eating while watching Hannibal and have never really been bother by it. But, that lobotomy scene made me nauseous even though the camera looked away.

Man do I love this show. This one was not as gruesome as past others but I haven't been this vested in a show since The Shield. Really hoping Will gets a fine revenge on good 'ole Lector.

Poor Bev

Foolish of her to think she can break into Hannibal's place with no warrant let alone no backup and not get into trouble.

I hope we won't be seeing her on Hannibal's next dinner plate.

at Bella smacking Hannibal for keeping her alive when she wanted to die so badly.

Hannibal will probably fix it. I think that bullet through the floor was there to emphasize that Bev was a goner. Because the bullet would only go through the floor if the gun was pointed at the ceiling. And why would the gun be pointed at the ceiling? Because Hannibal got to her and jerked her hand/arm to deflect the shot from himself.

Maybe she thought she was on The Following.
