This is technically the 2nd All-Star season. There was also a sort of All-Star season called "Unfinished Business" a few seasons back.

You forgot Season 11, so this is the 3rd All Stars. I'd like to see Mirna and Schmirna again. :-)

Yes I know that. Season 11 was All-Stars 1. This season is All-Stars 2.

Unfinished Business wasn't really an All-Stars season, just people who got a 2nd chance.

Re: The Amazing Race: All-Stars -- Season Premiere -- "Back in the Saddle" -- 2/23/14

Glad to see Connor and Dave getting a second shot after what happened to them last time. Not glad to see teams getting a third shot. It would be bad enough if it was all teams like Herb and Nate getting a third shot, but they've brought back teams I didn't even like the first time for a third try.

It speaks volumes for the annoying level of some of the other teams that Rachel doesn't even really register with me in this bunch. B&R might be one of favorite teams. Joey and Meghan were kind of an annoying team last time, but by the end of the race I found myself liking Meghan so hopefully they stick around.

I hope Nadiya and Natalie get hit by a bus in the first episode (doesn't actually wish them physical harm, just wants them to go away).

I'd like to ship some of these repeat teams to Ukraine, Syria, or Venezuela. Slim pickings from the last time they did all-stars?? Were there not any other past teams that wanted to endure more bad taxis, long flights, shining shoes, etc?

MALLORY!!! yay

So the rumor of the mixed team was true after all. Will be interesting to see how well they get along.

Mallory's back, a likeable team came in first, and an obnoxious team got eliminated. I wasn't sure I'd watch this season, but I enjoyed this episode, so I'm in.

Forgot Mallory was part of this, so when she appeared and came down the stairs, I chose her team. Loved Mallory from last time.

Glad the twinnies are gone too!

There's more teams to root against than there are to root for.

That could not have went any better. Outside of Margie / Luke and the surfer team I'd be happy with any overall outcome. That being said, I do think that not running with the pack will bite the cowboys....again.

Thank goodness. In a field with several annoying teams, they were the only ones that were just annoying by default... every second they were onscreen they actively grated on my nerves.

Best opening episode ever. Hopefully the Twinnies stick to their word, return to Sri Lanka, and never come back.

Re: The Amazing Race: All-Stars -- Season Premiere -- "Back in the Saddle" -- 2/23/14

I've missed some of the recent seasons.. So there are teams that I don't know who they are. So glad that annoying Twinnies got eliminated. They were painful to watch and just damn annoying. I found it funny that at the start of the show, when all the teams were discussing their previous races, they stated that they were going to argue less and work together more.. then failed to do that and were just fighting and not working together.

Glad to see the cowboys back. I liked them the first season they were in. They didn't resort to dirty play or fight with each other and seemed to just get along and do well. I think that from their season they were in the race the first time with that team that had Zed, I think was one of their names.. One of them had aspurgers.. and they lost their passports at one point and had to leave the race because of that. I liked that team as well.

Re: The Amazing Race: All-Stars -- Season Premiere -- "Back in the Saddle" -- 2/23/14

Thought it was an entertaining 1st leg.

Glad the cowboys did well. Hopefully 3rd time is the charm for them. I've always found them fun to watch.

I liked Mallory from her previous time on the show. Sucks for Bopper, but she's fun and full of energy. I'm sure there are those who find her annoying, but at least she'll keep Team Kentucky interesting and competitive.

at the Twinnies bitching at each other in the Ferris. There arguments were so ridiculous and both of them lacked common sense.

I already hate the Youtube hosts again. So freaking annoying.

Only going by memory, but didn't the cowboys also finished 1st on the very first leg and then fizzled out toward the end on their 2nd go around?

I also suspect the the cowboys could be a potential target if some teams decide to to gang up and eliminate a "strong team".

I think having the express pass kind of protects the Cowboys from that. About the only way to sabotage them is with a U-turn, and the pass would almost certainly get them by that, so it would likely be a wasted U-turn. If you are going to U-turn someone I would think you should only do it to ensure someone finishes last behind your own team. It keeps you alive, and the team you bounce can't come back at you. Otherwise "not helping" them is about all that's left, but they tend to run on their own anyway. Not sure how else the race allows you to gang up on a team to get them out.

I would think both of them are easy going enough that it won't be a problem.

That's the truth!

I enjoyed seeing the replay of John & Jessica being eliminated with the express pass in their hand from their previous run. It was almost comical to hear her say she was glad they didn't get a pass this time.

Oy Vey!

... And she also said that this time there wouldn't be an Oy vey moment!
