Last night's episode was entertaining.
Although I found Marcus kind of annoying in some scenes, especially when he screwed up Will's chances to have a good time at the Pool party. The whole thing with the Spring board was kind of cheesy & predictable. But then again, I know the point of this show isn't about Will partying, but his friendship with Marcus. The show does have heart.
Liked the hottie in the bra and panties at the beginning and the one Will was talking to at the party in the white dress.

Because this was supposed to air last week and NBC decided to re-air the pilot instead. Directv didn't get the program update in time. The DVR assumed last night was a repeat. You probably saw the DVR recorded it last week and it was the pilot. Growing up Fisher was also affected.

I'm liking this. Too bad its on opposite Goldbergs. Last night had Adrainne Palicki who I find incredibly sexy.

I really like the book and I love, love, love the movie. The movie has a better ending, for sure, though Hornby is really good at capturing a particular moment in the 1994 cultural zeitgeist with the book's ending and it's well-written. I just dig the ending of the movie more. In fact, it's probably one of my favorite scenes, ever.
That said, I have yet to give this show a fair shake. I watched the first ten minutes of the pilot, then played video games. I wanted to play video games already, saw this was on and was tempted, but not enough to not go ahead and play video games. Seems like people here dig it so I'll give it a shot. I'd also like to write the words "video games" one more time. Video games.

This and Growing Up Fischer are both really good. I really hope NBC picks up both for next season.

Of course I did, we're guys. We're wired to look at boobs since caveman days. It's the way we determined a mates' ability to feed offspring. It's the way mother nature and GOD made us and I'M NOT GOING TO STAND HERE WHILE YOU BADMOUTH GOD!!!

Agreed. I always look for threads to see if anyone else is watching these shows, and they never get bumped, so I thought that I was the only one. Both solids series. I find I am enjoying this one a tad more, and I had no hope based on the premise (or the retread of the premise I should say).

Renewed!
From EW:
NBC also picked up freshman comedy About a Boy. The midseason series starring David Walton and Minnie Driver was pretty certain to get a renewal for a second season, despite its ratings declines in recent weeks after The Voice on Tuesday nights. The show has averaged 8.3 million viewers and a 2.4 rating in the demo.
Sad to see Growing Up Fisher gone, but glad this is coming back, although the declining ratings isn't a good sign.

Am I the only one watching this? Four posts in a row!
The back to back episodes this week were the final of the season. Gotta say, I love this show. Love the relationship between Will and Marcus. Overall, the show is the comedic equivalent of Parenthood IMO, since it's got what I guess you would call heart (plus it had the Crosby character from Parenthood, so these shows exist in the same universe). Very glad it's coming back next year.

One of my favorites. I think they moved too quickly to have him stay there. they should have had a cliffhanger and stretched it out over the first few episodes of next season. maybe because they didn't know there would be a next season?
