Yeah, I meant that future ninja Hiro showed that Hiro could and probably would develop all of these powers someday, even if he didn't have much control early on.
Agreed about them having no idea what to do with the overpowered characters besides sidelining/brainwashing them. I was also super disappointed with the reveals; so many times I'd be expecting some huge thing to come out, and then when they revealed HRG's company or Sark's motivation or Mom Petrelli or whatever, disappointment. It reminded me a lot of Alias, where it seemed like there was this big mythology and setup behind Rimbaldi and what it meant, and then a whole lotta mediocrity.

Re: NBC renews Heroes for 5th season. Returning in 2015
I think Lost "lost" its way in S2 and steadily got worse. The first season was fantastic, but after that, it get repetitious and frustrating.

Heroes fans rejoice!!! HRG is back!! Jack Coleman signs on to the miniseries.
EXCLUSIVE: HRG is back! Jack Coleman has become the first Heroes co-star to sign on for Heroes Reborn, NBC’s upcoming 13-episode miniseries that reboots the popular 2006 superhero drama series. Heroes Reborn, from Heroes creator Tim Kring, will replicate the basic elements of the show’s first season where ordinary people were waking up to the fact that they had extraordinary abilities, though the producers are keeping details on the plot under wrap. But I have learned that Coleman will reprise his character as Noah Bennett aka HRG, or the Man in the Horn-Rimmed Glasses, a nickname given to him by fans before the character’s real name was revealed. HRG, a former agent with the Company and father to cheerleader Claire Bennett ( Hayden Panettiere), started off as a recurring but quickly became a fan favorite, with Coleman promoted to regular midway through Season One.
At the NBC upfront last month, NBC chairman indicated that “some of the familiar faces from the show are bound to drop in” on Heroes Reborn. I hear that a handful of the original stars have been approached so far, with Zachary Quinto aka Sylar and Milo Ventimiglia aka Peter, said to not be available for now. Coleman, repped by Domain and manager Steven Levy, has done arcs on ABC’s Scandal, USA’s Burn Notice and NBC’s The Office and continues to recur on Castle.

Definitely a step in the right direction. For as often as Heroes went off the rails (and admittedly his character, too), Coleman was always fun to watch.

Coleman and Adrian Pasdar were my two favorite actors in the original series, so nice to see at least one of them coming back. I still need to go back and finish watching the prior seasons, as I gave up on this one in Season 3.

NBC is calling upon a very familiar face to relaunch an equally familiar franchise.
In his first major post-Chuck TV gig, Zachary Levi has signed on to headline Heroes Reborn — NBC’s 13-episode continuation of Heroes, which ran from 2006 to 2010 — TVLine has learned exclusively.
Details about his character are being kept tightly under wraps, but we’re told Levi will be playing a “key” role in the reboot.
“There are a few franchises I’ve always wanted to be a part of, and Heroes is one of them,” Levi tells TVLine exclusively. “Chuck gave me the opportunity to wield some fun powers, but an entire world with superpowers is a world I’ve always wanted to explore.
“I’m so grateful for the opportunity to work with Tim [Kring], and the awesome team around him, in bringing this to life,” he adds. “Moreover, to be working with NBC again is such a reward in itself, as my bonds and relationships there are deep.”
No longer a stranger to superheroes, Levi co-starred opposite Chris Hemsworth in 2013’s Thor: The Dark World.
As of now, the miniseries’ only other confirmed cast member is Jack Coleman, who will reprise the role of Heroes‘ Noah Bennett (aka HRG).

Getting Zach Levi as one of the stars is a good choice.

I thought it would air this Spring but I guess Summer is ok since there is nothing to watch though that might not help the chances of future seasons.

It was originally supposed to air in the Spring, but Tim Kring was tied up working on Dig for USA, which airs in March.

Zachary Quinto Nixes Heroes Comeback
This popped up in my RSS feed. Apparently Tim Kring reached out to Zachary Quinto about reprising his role as Sylar for the 13-episode standalone miniseries Heroes Reborn. That makes me less confident that Kring gets what worked and what didn't (and thus how to fix it). At least Quinto's decision forces Kring to fix at least one thing that was wrong.

Article says he's only a guest star. They are filming right now and if H50 is renewed, they don't resume filming until sometime in late July. Shouldn't affect his H50 gig.
BTW, NBC announced their summer schedule yesterday and Heroes wasn't on it. This will most likely air this Fall now.

Hiro was initially a great character, so I'm glad to see him back in that regard. However, the writing for that character quickly turned problematic, so in that regard, I'm not quite as excited as I'd otherwise be.

This looks like a cast from a Disney Channel series.
