The first season was pretty good but they screwed up with Hiro and Peter. They were simply too powerful and had to be regularly neutered or else they'd be able to end any conflict before it started. And Silas was great until the writers decided he was too popular to kill off and started coming up with convoluted reasons to keep hi around.

I'd be willing to give it another shot if they took a few lessons from those mistakes but when does that ever happen?

They ran into an issue most comics like to avoid. Having a character that can absorb powers permanently is mostly a big no. However since they gave him that power I hate that they took it away. It could have been a better idea if they never went there in the first place or placed greater limits on it. Sylar was a bit over used along with the flip flopping of good or bad.

It always bugged me that they never addressed that. Like, oh well. I do wonder what would happen since they changed that future unless it turned into another alternate timeline.

Irrelevant. That doesn't mean squat for Nashville's fate. That's totally up to ABC whether it comes back. Hayden may not even want to be involved with this new incarnation of Heroes. Even if Nashville comes back and Hayden was willing to do both, she could guest star on Heroes in a limited number of episodes.

I saw thinking to get some of the old cast back they would have to film while the other shows wrapped for the season. Some may only need to be in a few episodes. Would not be surprised to see a few new characters which is fine. Still want a few originals to return to make it feel like the same show.

Netflix renewed it for a Fourth (after it was canceled for a second time by AMC).

A couple of us have. I wondered why that was never addressed during the following season, they just dropped it. I heard they would have if the season was not cut short, even so that's not just something you drop and never bring up again.

Once season two hit they flipped flopped a lot with a bit more order during season four. Hopefully they hold it together.

This won't be any good if Kring has anything to do with it. It was apparent in the last three seasons he wasn't the reason why season one was so great.

I think where Heroes really hit a wall in that first season was the budget. Both Hiro and Peter kept getting more expensive powers to show off on the screen, but NBC didn't want to add a huge amount of VFX to a show already overloaded with a huge cast. In comics, it costs nothing to add another superpowered character or event. On television every additional superpower costs both time and money, money the show didn't have with that huge cast. It's why no one had seriously attempted a movie featuring a team of superheroes before recent times, the money for FX would get seriously out of control.

They had built up a wonderful comic book world in season one but superhero fans wanted an eventual pay-off, which means seeing the characters in action. Dialogue can only carry you so far when a guy can become a living nuclear bomb.

I think it spoke volumes when NBC brought Bryan Fuller back after Pushing Daisies was cancelled, and he ended up quitting again b/c he clashed with Kring over ideas for the show.

As a viewer, I know who's ideas I would put more faith in.
