Yup, it's fake. FX confirmed it.

Hmmmm... you'd think tonight would be a perfect time to air a teaser with The Strain.

I agree, it would have been the perfect time for a teaser. In past years, I sort of remember teasers coming out in late July.

Re: American Horror Story: Freak Show (October 2014 on FX)

FX has revealed the first cast photo for “American Horror Story: Freak Show,” which will premiere on October 8. The latest installment in Ryan Murphy’s horror anthology features “AHS” alums Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Angela Bassett, Frances Conroy, Evan Peters, Emma Roberts and Denis O’Hare, along with series newcomers Michael Chiklis, Patti LaBelle, Finn Wittrock and John Carroll Lynch.

Freak Show” begins its tale in the quiet, sleepy hamlet of Jupiter, Florida. The year is 1952. A troupe of curiosities has just arrived to town, coinciding with the strange emergence of a dark entity that savagely threatens the lives of townsfolk and freaks alike. This is the story of the performers and their desperate journey of survival amidst the dying world of the American carny experience.

Matt Bomer and Wes Bentley will also guest star, with Neil Patrick Harris expressing interest in a role. On the Emmy Awards red carpet, Murphy told Variety that he also hopes to cast Cicely Tyson, and already has a character in mind.

“American Horror Story: Freak Show” premieres Oct. 8 at 10 p.m. on FX.

That better live up to its campy potential. Though I'd like something as good as Season 1 or 2, Season 3 wasn't it.

"dying world of the American carny experience"? 1952? In the late 1960s, early 1970s freak show/carny stuff was still very much alive.

Well, they wouldn't have known that in 1952.

I haven't gotten into this show before, but I'm on board for this because I'm hoping it will compare favorably to the Tod Browning movie.

I'll expect it to be good fun. But there wasn't any "horror" in that clip.

I'm in. They had a good set up for last season and it fell flat, IMO. Hopefully this one is back to season 1 and 2 form.

This makes me miss Carnivale, but I'll be checking it out.

People are already speculating on a few sites that one of the conjoined twins will be evil based on the promo. I also wouldn't be surprised if one of this season's storylines is based on the real life Lobsterboy Murder Case.

I'm confused. Your first comment doesn't make sense along side the second sentence.

Every season of AHS has started off strong, then has went full retard to only conclude with a falling flat finale.

Either way, I'm in it for the train wreck.

Yea. But there's plenty of brilliant moments to latch onto. That's what gets me to watch.

These promos don't have me too excited. I wonder if ratings will dip this season?

It doesn't look like there's anything supernatural going on this season. That's how season 2 was, I think.

Season 4 Main opening credits. Very cleverly done in my opinion.
