I didn't care much for this 2nd episode. Not sure why. I don't think it's due to the new direction, since most things are still the same. But there was just something keeping me from enjoying this episode.

Yeah, I didn't think it was that great either. I think I only enjoyed some of the Pam stuff, otherwise the Cheryl stuff and actual Drug Deal fell kind of flat.

I thought the episode was still fantastic but the group has been too fragmented. Too much Archer and Pam and too little Cyril (sp?), Gilette and the scientist guy, IMO.

I actually lol'd twice at the end. Price is right sad horn preceding the broken phone, and the Woodhouse punchline.
I love this show. I just wish the episodes were longer...

Television shows have had "app punchlines" before, like the whip sound from Big Bang Theory. But for some reason, I nearly died laughing at the Price is Right app. Especially since they made it a recurring bit.

This episode (and the season opener) felt extremely short.

I didn't think the last episode was that great, there were a few moments I really liked such as the Price is Right sound (which has been something some coworkers have done for awhile now), but the overall story wasn't particularly interesting to me. So far the season hasn't been as awesome as I hoped.

I agree that the episodes feel really short. In small part due to them being good so they seem to fly by, but I think more so because there actually does seem to be more commercials. I haven't timed the episodes, but anyone know if they actually have been less than the average sitcom 22 minutes?
Still a helluva a lot of fun to watch, of course!

I've never timed an episode either, but I do notice they take less time to watch than the typical 30-minute show, especially when I watch them on Blu-Ray. Wouldn't surprise me if the total actual run time of an Archer episode is less than 20 minutes.
I don't care though. I get more laughs in those 20 minutes than in 3 or 4 other sitcoms or shows put together.

I wasn't crazy about this episode either, but then I remember not initially liking "Once Bitten" or "Bloody Ferlin", but now they are among my favorites. Some Archers have to grow on me. I'm not sure what makes me like one right off the bat versus one that takes a few viewings, but I know I like all them, ultimately.
This episode, "A Debt of Honor", felt forced. It was like they concentrated too much on gags and references to the sacrifice of advancing the story. I'm sure later, I'll appreciate the episode more. I'm not giving up, yet.

I really hope they tone down the Pam coke addict plot line, it's getting obnoxious with her yelling something coke related every 4 seconds
