MATTHEW PERRY AND THOMAS LENNON STAR IN THE SERIES PREMIERE OF "THE ODD COUPLE," THURSDAY, FEB. 19
"Pilot" - Oscar Madison reluctantly agrees to let Felix Unger, his uptight former college roommate, move in with him after both of their marriages fail, on the series premiere of THE ODD COUPLE, Thursday, Feb. 19 (8:30-9:00 PM, ET/PT), on the CBS Television Network.
THE ODD COUPLE stars Matthew Perry as endearing slob Oscar Madison and Thomas Lennon as uptight neat freak Felix Unger, two former college buddies who become unlikely roommates after the demise of their marriages. It's not long after Oscar lets Felix move in that Oscar fears he's made a monumental mistake. Oscar's jack-of-all-trades assistant, Dani, and his long-time agent, Teddy, have their hands full trying to keep Oscar's career as a sports radio host on track as he deals with his new living situation. Fortunately, their quirky next-door neighbor Emily helps Felix adapt to his new life as a bachelor and rein in his copious eccentricities. Despite how exasperated Oscar and Felix make each other, in the end, these mismatched friends agree they can help each other move on from their divorces and somehow make this crazy living arrangement work.
PRINCIPAL CAST INFORMATION:
· Lindsay Sloane as Lindsay
· Matthew Perry as Oscar Madison
· Thomas Lennon as Felix Unger
· Wendell Pierce as Teddy
· Yvette Nicole Brown as Dani

Premieres tonight. Reviews are awful. Looks like another dud for Perry.

I know the original played the neatnik vs. slob theme much broader than the movie or play. That being said, Perry-Oscar looks relaxed, not sloppy. Where's the bag of chips with crumbs and guacamole on the shirt? One shoe half-off, the other foot with a hole in the sock? Three days worth of five o'clock shadow is not the same.

Well because the pilot is smushed between the big bang theory and the finale of 2.5 men, the pilot will be a huge ratings hit

Don't like either one of them but just saw Leslie Bibb in it and I love her. Not sure how often she'll be in it but I might watch just for her...

I watched it after The Big Bang Theory and while I realize it was a pilot I didn't really care for it. The Felix character doesn't adapt that well to modern times and was just too goofy if you ask me.

There were also a few jokes lifted from the movie as well (& probably the play, never saw it) "it took me two days to realize FU meant Felix Unger"

I really had no idea Matthew Perry was such a bad actor. I guess some of that goes to the director, but yikes. I'm out.

I started watching it after Big Bang Theory and turned it off after a few minutes. The acting seemed atrocious to me, like all the characters were completely aware it was a sitcom and speaking loudly and disjointed with Perry being a caricature of all the other stuff he's done. It's weird that Perry is a sports guy... again.

I didn't despise it, but it wasn't very good, either. The writing was just too lazy and obvious. They've taken these already cliche characters and made them *more* stereotypical somehow.
It's a shame because I really enjoyed Go On and Studio 60, but Perry is wasted in this.

Never embedded before; hope this works. Anyway, here's something that's funnier than the pilot:
