The first song was "Berserk" and samples Billy Squiers' "The Stroke" so maybe it was a rights thing? I also read his mic cut out halfway through the song so they had to use the tracking vocal. It did seem a little off.

So they haven't had a regular female African-American SNL cast member since Maya Rudolph. big whoop. That should give Kenan and Jay more opportunities to go Tyler Perry/Madea on the show.
That entire issue with Kenan Thompson whining about the lack of diversity is ridiculous. I don't see Nasim Pedrad complaining about the lack of Iranian, Middle Eastern, or Asian cast members.

SNL generally has terrible hosts. Usually flavour of the month pop culture people. The cast is abysmal. The sketches are terrible. But I'll watch every episode. Whats wrong with me?

Shutup. The amount of undercover racists on this board and allowance of it is unbelievable but not surprising especially every SNL episode thread. There is always a bunch of comments about Kenan, Jay ,the guest host, musician when they are black and frankly I'm fucking sick of it. I guess the rap music was ok this week being that the artist was white. And Yeah I'm calling you a racist I don't care if you deny it.

This board has always skewed like that because of the demographics. I don't even click on threads where race is involved because I know how it will turn out. You either have to be selective in what you read or move on to a different board because it will never change.
