Yeah the whole series is really damn solid. I can't even think of a truly bad episode of the series. The closest that I know gets a lot of criticism is Fly from the third season, but I personally never minded the episode. I hate calling anything perfect but I think if anything came close to being so it is Breaking Bad.

One cameo might be fine, but Saul and his employees (Mike, the hired goons, his beleaguered secretary) have tons of possibilities.

I didn't start watching BB until a few years in and there were a few times I thought about giving up because at times the slow burn was really slow but did it ever pay off in the end.
Disclaimer: I never watched it when it was airing, and only started in on Netflix well after the finale. Took me less than a year to go through it at my leisure, so I never experienced all the speculation and rumors as it developed.

I would say it was an outstanding show, and I think it will be long remembered as one of the best shows ever. It was gripping, had interesting characters, and the writing and acting were, for the most part, top notch. I like shows that take their time to develop characters. Even Skyler never really bugged me that much. She was supposed to be annoyed, annoying, and self-serving.

I have to admit that I started it once, and gave up after the first episode. I just couldn't get into it. The second time around, I almost gave up when they were dealing with Tuco, as I found him to be just unwatchable. Not that he was poorly portrayed, but the character was too unlikeable and over the top insane for me.

When I read the synopsis for Fly on Netflix, I was dreading it, but I don't think it was too bad overall. I was more concerned with the first episode of season five, as it came across as fan service to me.

Despite all that, I really enjoyed it as a whole and am glad I watched it. I don't see it as having a lot of replay value, though.

Re: Breaking Bad --> Series Finale --> "Felina" --> 9/29/13

I would love to rewatch the series from the start but since I only have the first two seasons on dvd, that will have to wait. I think the character Bryan Cranston played will be remembered as one of those iconic tv characters for a long time. Even more than the show itself.

One small observation I will ask. Just going off of the old dvdtalk thread and imdb pages on this. Why isn't " Concerned" Season 4 Episode 6 more well liked ? I really thought it was one of the better episodes outside of the season 5.2. It had my favorite speech of the whole series of "I AM THE DANGER" as well as the hilarious exchange of Jesse and the 2 methheads and Walt doing donuts with that car.

Instead of a chicken place, it should have just been some American burger chain. I mean, it would have made sense all things considered.

Latino TV has a bias towards white actors but that's ridiculous.

Okay, that was freaking great! Makes me like the finale episode a little more than I did at the time when a lot of it felt a little too Deus ex machina to me. Seeing that, I'm a little cooler with the wrap up.

Seeing that...and this thread bump...made me start re-watching from the beginning. Man it's tough seeing Walt so weak and a pushover those first episodes.

Cranston did a reprisal/spoof of the Walter White character for SNL last night.

Someone edited the whole series into a 2 hour film.

Someone edited Tolstoy's War & Peace down to 100 pages

Doesn't mean you should read it that way.

I'm curious but I don't really know if I want to watch the full thing. I just don't see how you can do justice to the show in roughly two hours.

I may give this a shot just as a fan. But jumping around through the video, I'm not even seeing any frames of Gus yet. If they don't have his story fleshed out in there, it's missing the best part of the series IMO.

EDIT: Here's a great fan watch of this edit, the good and bad: https://www.reddit.com/r/videos/comm..._into/deu3k6a/
